The rest frame subjet algorithm is introduced to define the subjets for the SISCone jet. Using it, an IR and collinear safe jet shape observable N-subjettiness, $tau_N^{j}$, is defined to discriminate the fat jet from a highly boosted color singlet particle decaying to N partons and the QCD jet. Using rest frame subjets and $tau_2^{j}$ on dijets from highly boosted $it H / W / Z$ bosons through $pp to it H W$, $it H Z$, we found that statistical significance of the signal is about $2 sigma$ at the LHC with $mathcal{L} sim 30 mathrm{fb^{-1}}$ at $14 tev$.
We show that in studies of light quark- and gluon-initiated jet discrimination, it is important to include the information on softer reconstructed jets (associated jets) around a primary hard jet. This is particularly relevant while adopting a small
Monoenergetic muon neutrinos (235.5 MeV) from positive kaon decay-at-rest are considered as a source for an electron neutrino appearance search. In combination with a liquid argon time projection chamber based detector, such a source could provide di
It is widely considered that, for Higgs boson searches at the Large Hadron Collider, WH and ZH production where the Higgs boson decays to b anti-b are poor search channels due to large backgrounds. We show that at high transverse momenta, employing s
A search for the production and non-standard decay of a Higgs boson, h, into four taus through intermediate pseudoscalars, a, is conducted on 683 pb-1 of data collected by the ALEPH experiment at centre-of-mass energies from 183 to 209 GeV. No excess
A search is presented for long-lived particles with a mass between 25 and 50 GeV$/c^2$ and a lifetime between 1 and 200 ps in a sample of proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of $sqrt{s}=7$ TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosit
