We investigate the low temperature asymptotics and the finite size spectrum of a class of Temperley-Lieb models. As reference system we use the spin-1/2 Heisenberg chain with anisotropy parameter $Delta$ and twisted boundary conditions. Special emphasis is placed on the study of logarithmic corrections appearing in the case of $Delta=1/2$ in the bulk susceptibility data and in the low-energy spectrum yielding the conformal dimensions. For the $sl(2|1)$ invariant 3-state representation of the Temperley-Lieb algebra with $Delta=1/2$ we give the complete set of scaling dimensions which show huge degeneracies.

In the two-dimensional Ising model weak random surface field is predicted to be a marginally irrelevant perturbation at the critical point. We study this question by extensive Monte Carlo simulations for various strength of disorder. The calculated e ffective (temperature or size dependent) critical exponents fit with the field-theoretical results and can be interpreted in terms of the predicted logarithmic corrections to the pure systems critical behaviour.
The periodic sl(2|1) alternating spin chain encodes (some of) the properties of hulls of percolation clusters, and is described in the continuum limit by a logarithmic conformal field theory (LCFT) at central charge c=0. This theory corresponds to th e strong coupling regime of a sigma model on the complex projective superspace $mathbb{CP}^{1|1} = mathrm{U}(2|1) / (mathrm{U}(1) times mathrm{U}(1|1))$, and the spectrum of critical exponents can be obtained exactly. In this paper we push the analysis further, and determine the main representation theoretic (logarithmic) features of this continuum limit by extending to the periodic case the approach of [N. Read and H. Saleur, Nucl. Phys. B 777 316 (2007)]. We first focus on determining the representation theory of the finite size spin chain with respect to the algebra of local energy densities provided by a representation of the affine Temperley-Lieb algebra at fugacity one. We then analyze how these algebraic properties carry over to the continuum limit to deduce the structure of the space of states as a representation over the product of left and right Virasoro algebras. Our main result is the full structure of the vacuum module of the theory, which exhibits Jordan cells of arbitrary rank for the Hamiltonian.
We provide a ribbon tensor equivalence between the representation category of small quantum SL(2), at parameter q=exp($pi$ i/p), and the representation category of the triplet vertex operator algebra at integral parameter p>1. We provide similar quan tum group equivalences for representation categories associated to the Virasoro, and singlet vertex operator algebras at central charge c=1-6(p-1)^2/p. These results resolve a number of fundamental conjectures coming from studies of logarithmic CFTs in type A_1.

An SL-invariant extension of the concurrence to higher local Hilbert-space dimension is due to its relation with the determinant of the matrix of a $dtimes d$ two qudits state, which is the only SL-invariant of polynomial degree $d$. This determinant is written in terms of antilinear expectation values of the local $SL(d)$ operators. We use the permutation invariance of the comb-condition for creating further local antilinear operators which are orthogonal to the original operator. It means that the symmetric group acts transitively on the space of combs of a given order. This extends the mechanism for writing $SL(2)$-invariants for qubits to qudits. I outline the method, that in principle works for arbitrary dimension $d$, explicitely for spin 1, and spin 3/2. There is an odd-even discrepancy: whereas for half odd integer spin a situation similar to that observed for qubits is found, for integer spin the outcome is an asymmetric invariant of polynomial degree $2d$.
The statistics of critical spin-spin correlation functions in Ising systems with non-frustrated disorder are investigated on a strip geometry, via numerical transfer-matrix techniques. Conformal invariance concepts are used, in order to test for loga rithmic corrections to pure power-law decay against distance. Fits of our data to conformal-invariance expressions, specific to logarithmic corrections to correlations on strips, give results with the correct sign, for the moments of order $n=0-4$ of the correlation-function distribution. We find an interval of disorder strength along which corrections to pure-system behavior can be decomposed into the product of a known $n$-dependent factor and an approximately $n$-independent one, in accordance with predictions. A phenomenological fitting procedure is proposed, which takes partial account of subdominant terms of correlation-function decay on strips. In the low-disorder limit, it gives results in fairly good agreement with theoretical predictions, provided that an additional assumption is made.
