Laser exposure of gold nanoparticles in aqueous solutions of Uranium salt leads to accelerated decay of U238 nuclei and significant deviation from secular equilibrium. The samples demonstrate the enhanced gamma emission in the range of 54 keV during laser exposure.

In this work, I calculate the $p_perp$ resolved spectra for the three stages of the textit{bottom-up} scenario, which are comparable to the thermal contribution, particularly at higher values of the saturation scale $Q_S^2$. Analytical solutions are obtained by including a parametrization of scaling solutions from far-from-equilibrium classical statistical lattice simulations into a small angle kinetic rate. Furthermore, a theoretically motivated ansatz is used to account for near-collinear enhancement of the low-$p_perp$ radiation. The system is phenomenologically constrained using the charge hadron multiplicities from LHC and RHIC as in previous parametric estimates and fair agreement with the data available for photons was found. I find that for this realistic set of parameters, the contribution from the thermalizing glasma dominates the excess photons.
We present results of four-pointing Suzaku X-ray observations (total ~200 ks) of the intracluster medium (ICM) in the Abell 1835 galaxy cluster (kT ~ 8 keV, z = 0.253) out to the virial radius (r_vir ~ 2.9 Mpc) and beyond. Faint X-ray emission from t he ICM out to r_vir is detected. The temperature gradually decreases with radius from ~8 keV in the inner region to ~2 keV at r_vir. The entropy profile is shown to flatten beyond r_500, in disagreement with the r_1.1 dependence predicted from the accretion shock heating model. The thermal pressure profile in the range 0.3r_500 < r < r_vir agrees well with that obtained from the stacked Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect observations with the Planck satellite. The hydrostatic mass profile in the cluster outskirts (r_500 < r < r_vir) falls well short of the weak lensing one derived from Subaru/Suprime-Cam observations, showing an unphysical decrease with radius. The gas mass fraction at r_vir defined with the lensing total mass agrees with the cosmic baryon fraction from the WMAP 7-year data. All these results indicate, rather than the gas-clumping effect, that the bulk of the ICM in the cluster outskirts is far from hydrostatic equilibrium and infalling matter retained some of its kinetic energy. Finally, combining with our recent Suzaku and lensing analysis of Abell 1689, a cluster of similar mass, temperature, and redshift, we show that the cluster temperature distribution in the outskirts is significantly correlated with the galaxy density field in the surrounding large-scale environment at (1-2)r_vir.
We study the CP violation in the deviation from the tri-bimaximal mixing (TBM) of neutrinos. We examine non-trivial relations among the mixing angles and the CP violating Dirac phase in the typical four cases of the deviation from the TBM. The first two cases are derived by the additional rotation of the 2-3 or 1-3 generations of neutrinos in the TBM basis. The other two cases are given by the additional rotation of the 1-3 or 1-2 generations of charged leptons with the TBM neutrinos. These four cases predict different relations among three mixing angles and the CP violating Dirac phase. The rotation of the 2-3 generations of neutrinos in the TBM basis predicts $sin ^2theta _{12}<1/3$, and the CP violating Dirac phase to be $pm (0.09pisim 0.76pi)$ for NH ($pm (0.15pisim 0.73pi) text{for IH}$) depending on $sin ^2theta _{23}$. The rotation of the 1-3 generations of neutrinos in the TBM basis gives $sin ^2theta _{12}>1/3$. The CP violating Dirac phase is not constrained by the input of the present experimental data. For the case of the 1-3 and 1-2 rotations of charged leptons in the TBM basis, the CP violating Dirac phase is predicted in $pm(0.35pisim 0.60pi)$ depending on $sin ^2theta _{12}$ for both NH and IH cases. We also discuss the specific case that $theta_{13}$ is related with the Cabibbo angle $lambda$ such as $sintheta_{13}=lambda/sqrt{2}$, in which the maximal CP violation is preferred. The CP violating Dirac phase can distinguish the lepton flavor mixing patterns at T2K and NO$ u$A experiments in the future.
In this work we describe the Non-Equilibrium Statistical Operator Method (NESOM). The NESOM is a powerful formalism that seems to offer an elegant and concise way for an analytical treatment in the theory of irreversible processes, adequate to deal w ith a large class of experimental situations, and physically clear picture of irreversible processes. The method invented by D. N. Zubarev is also practical and efficient in the study of the optical and carrier dynamics in semiconductors. Keywords: nonequilibrium phenomena; kinetic theory; transport processes; irreversible processes.

Recently we have reported the correct formulation of the hadron formation from the quarks and gluons by using the lattice QCD method at the zero temperature. Similarly we have also reported the correct formulation of the hadron formation from the the rmalized quark-gluon plasma by using the lattice QCD method at the finite temperature. In this paper we extend this to non-equilibrium QCD and present the correct formulation of the hadron formation from the non-equilibrium quark-gluon plasma by using the closed time path integral formalism. Hadron formation from the non-equilibrium quark-gluon plasma is necessary to detect the quark-gluon plasma at RHIC and LHC.
