The non-Fermi liquid system (NFL) YbCu_(5-x)Al_(x) (x = 1.3 - 1.75) has been investigated in hetero- as well as homo-contact arrangement in magnetic fields up to 22.5 T. The observed dV/dI(V) characteristics reveal asymmetry in hetero-contact arrangement and do not agree with the model of thermal contact heating, at least close to zero-bias voltage. In the case of a hetero-contact arrangement we have observed a maximum at only one voltage polarity at about 1.3 mV (for x = 1.5), which asymmetry is suppressed in an applied magnetic field. This behavior is connected with NFL properties of studied compounds.
Local f-electron spin dynamics in the non-Fermi-liquid heavy-fermion alloys UCu_{5-x}Pd_x, x = 1.0 and 1.5, have been studied using muon spin-lattice relaxation. The sample-averaged asymmetry function Gbar(t) indicates strongly inhomogeneous spin flu
Low-temperature muon spin-lattice relaxation measurements in the non-Fermi-liquid heavy-fermion alloys UCu_{5-x}Pd_x, x = 1.0 and 1.5, indicate inhomogeneously distributed f-electron spin fluctuation rates, and exhibit a time-field scaling of the muo
The evolution of the Fermi surface of CeRh$_{1-x}$Co$_x$In$_5$ was studied as a function of Co concentration $x$ via measurements of the de Haas-van Alphen effect. By measuring the angular dependence of quantum oscillation frequencies, we identify a
Structural, magnetic and thermal measurements performed on CeCo{1-x}Fe{x}Si alloys are reported. Three regions can be recognized: i) Co-rich (x < 0.20) with a decreasing long range antiferromagnetic order which vanishes at finite temperature, ii) an
Electron-doped Sr(Co{1-x}Ni{x})2As2 single crystals with compositions x = 0 to 0.9 were grown out of self-flux and SrNi2As2 single crystals out of Bi flux. The crystals were characterized using single-crystal x-ray diffraction (XRD), magnetic suscept
