We determine a constraint on the growth factor by measuring the damping of the baryon acoustic oscillations in the matter power spectrum using the Sloan Digital Sky Survey luminous red galaxy sample. The damping of the BAO is detected at the one sigma level. We obtain sigma_8D_1(z=0.3) = 0.42^{+0.34}_{-0.28} at the 1sigma statistical level, where sigma_8 is the root mean square overdensity in a sphere of radius 8h^{-1}Mpc and D_1(z) is the growth factor at redshift z. The above result assumes that other parameters are fixed and the cosmology is taken to be a spatially flat cold dark matter universe with the cosmological constant.
We present a void clustering analysis in configuration-space using the completed Sloan Digital Sky Survey IV (SDSS-IV) extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (eBOSS) DR16 samples. These samples consist of Luminous Red Galaxies (LRG) combine
We develop a methodology to optimise the measurement of Baryon Acoustic Oscillation (BAO) from a given galaxy sample. In our previous work, we demonstrated that one can measure BAO from tracers in under-dense regions (voids). In this study, we combin
Baryon Acoustic Oscillations are considered to be a very robust standard ruler against various systematics. This premise has been tested against observational systematics, but not to the level required for the next generation of galaxy surveys such a
Anisotropic measurements of the Baryon Acoustic Oscillation (BAO) feature within a galaxy survey enable joint inference about the Hubble parameter $H(z)$ and angular diameter distance $D_A(z)$. These measurements are typically obtained from moments o
(abridged) The scale of the acoustic oscillation of baryons at the baryon-photon decoupling is imprinted on the spatial distribution of galaxies in the Universe, known as the baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO). The correlation functions and power spec
