Measurements of macroscopic properties have indicated that the bond-disordered spin-gap system (CH3)2CHNH3-Cu(ClxBr1-x)3 is gapless when x is between 0.44 and 0.87. Using muon spin relaxation to investigate microscopic properties of sample with x=0.35, we observed a dynamical spin fluctuation, whose characteristic frequency decreases with decreasing temperature, indicating a magnetic ground state.
The ground state of the quasi-one-dimensional system with bond-disorder (CH3)2CHNH3Cu(ClxBr1-x)3 with x = 0, 0.25 and 0.3 has been investigated by muSR. The Fourier spectrum of electron spin fluctuation in x =0.25 and 0.3 obtained by LF-muSR techniqu
The phase transition from a topological insulator to a trivial band insulator is studied by angle-resoled photoemission spectroscopy on Bi$_{2-x}$In$_{x}$Se$_{3}$ single crystals. We first report the complete evolution of the bulk band structures thr
We consider the two dimensional disordered Bose gas which present a metallic state at low temperatures. A simple model of an interacting Bose system in a random field is propose to consider the interaction effect on the transition in the metallic state.
We study theoretically the smectic A to C phase transition in isotropic disordered environments. Surprisingly, we find that, as in the clean smectic A to C phase transition, smectic layer fluctuations do not affect the nature of the transition, in sp
Motivated by recent neutron scattering experiments, we derive and study an effective pseudo-dipolar spin-1/2 model for the XY pyrochlore antiferromagnet Er2Ti2O7. While a bond-dependent in-plane exchange anisotropy removes any continuous symmetry, it
