In view of the start up of the 14 TeV pp Large Hadron Collider the quark anti-quark reactions leading to the final states W^+W^-, W^+-Z^0 and Z^0Z^0 are studied, in the frame workn of the Standard Model (SM), using helicity amplitudes. The differential and total cross sections are first evaluated in the parton-parton center of mass system. They are then transformed to their expected behavior in pp collisions through the parton-parton Energy Density Functions which are here derived from the known Parton Density Functions of the proton. In particular the single and joint longitudinal polarizations of the final state di-bosons are calculated. The effect on these reactions from the presence of s-channel heavy vector bosons, like the W and Z, are evaluated to explore the possibility to utilize the gauge boson pair production as a probe for these Beyond the SM phenomena.

Family gauge boson production at the LHC is investigated according to a $U(3)$ family gauge model with twisted family number assignment. In the model we study, a family gauge boson with the lowest mass, $A_1^{ 1}$, interacts only with the first gener ation leptons and the third generation quarks. (The family numbers are assigned, for example, as $(e_1, e_2, e_3)= (e^-, mu^-, tau^-)$ and $(d_1, d_2, d_3)=(b, d, s) $[or $(d_1, d_2, d_3)=(b, s, d)$]). In the model, the family gauge coupling constant is fixed by relating to the electroweak gauge coupling constant. Thus measurements of production cross sections and branching ratios of $A_1^{ 1}$ clearly confirm or rule out the model. We calculate the cross sections of inclusive $A_1^{ 1}$ production and $b bar{b} , (t bar{t})$ associated $A_1^{ 1}$ production at $sqrt{s} = 14~text{TeV}$ and $100~text{TeV}$. With the dielectron production cross section, we discuss the determination of diagonalizing matrix of quark mass matrix, $U_{u}$ and $U_{d}$, respectively.
We propose to study at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) the inclusive production of a pair of hadrons (a di-hadron system) in a kinematics where two detected hadrons with high transverse momenta are separated by a large interval of rapidity. This proc ess has much in common with the widely discussed Mueller-Navelet jet production and can also be used to access the dynamics of hard proton-parton interactions in the Regge limit. For both processes large contributions enhanced by logarithms of energy can be resummed in perturbation theory within the Balitsky-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov (BFKL) formalism with next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy (NLA). The experimental study of di-hadron production would provide with an additional clear channel to test the BFKL dynamics. We present here the first theoretical predictions for cross sections and azimuthal angle correlations of the di-hadrons produced with LHC kinematics.

We calculate and analyze Z and W production in association with quark-antiquark pair in k_T-factorization. Numerical calculations are performed using the Monte Carlo generator CASCADE for proton proton collisions at LHC energy. We compare total and d ifferential cross sections calculated in k_T-factorization approach with total differential cross sections obtained in LO and NLO calculations in collinear factorization approach. We provide strong evidence that some of the effects of the NLO and even higher order collinear calculation are already included in the LO k_T-factorization calculation.

Weak gauge boson pair production is an important process at the LHC because it probes the non-Abelian structure of electroweak interactions and it is a background process for many new physics searches, and with enough statistics we can perform compar isons between measurements and theoretical calculations for different but correlated observables. In these proceedings, we present a theoretical status including state-of-the-art results from recent calculations of higher-order QCD and electroweak corrections.

We have computed the full one-loop corrections (electroweak as well as QCD) to processes contributing to the relic density of dark matter in the MSSM where the LSP is the lightest neutralino. We cover scenarios where the most important channels are t hose with gauge boson pair production. This includes the case of a bino with some wino admixture, a higgsino and a wino. In this paper we specialise to the case of light dark matter much below the TeV scale. The corrections can have a non-negligible impact on the predictions and should be taken into account in view of the present and forthcoming increasing precision on the relic density measurements. Our calculations are made with the help of SloopS, an automatic tool for the calculation of one-loop processes in the MSSM. The renormalisation scheme dependence of the results as concerns $tgb$ is studied.
