We show effects of granular structure of the initial conditions (IC) of hydrodynamic description of high-energy nucleus-nucleus collisions on some observables, especially on the elliptic-flow parameter v2. Such a structure enhances production of isotropically distributed high-pT particles, making v2 smaller there. Also, it reduces v2 in the forward and backward regions where the global matter density is smaller, so where such effects become more efficacious.
We present a systematic study of the effects due to initial condition fluctuations in systems formed by heavy-ion collisions using the hydrodynamical simulation code NeXSPheRIO. The study was based on a sample of events generated simulating Au+Au col
I review the present status of the problem of initial conditions for inflation and describe several ways to solve this problem for many popular inflationary models, including the recent generation of the models with plateau potentials favored by cosmological observations.
Double parton distribution functions (DPDFs) are used in the QCD description of double parton scattering. The DPDFs evolve with hard scales through relatively new QCD evolution equations which obey nontrivial momentum and valence quark number sum rul
It is claimed that elliptic flow, ridge and alignment are effects of azimuthal asymmetry, which have a common origin evolving with primary energy and stemming from the general structure of field-theoretical matrix elements. It interrelates a new ridg
We show that a Bjorken expanding strongly coupled $mathcal{N}=4$ Supersymmetric Yang-Mills plasma can violate the dominant and also the weak energy condition in its approach to hydrodynamics (even though the chosen initial data satisfy these constrai
