We measure relative abundances of $K_{S}^{0}$, $Lambda$ and $bar{Lambda}$ in near-side and away-side cones correlated with triggered high-$p_{T}$ particles in $^{197}$Au + $^{197}$Au collisions at $sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 200 GeV. The centrality dependence of identified particles in the triggered particle cones is also presented. Particle yields and ratios are extracted on the near-side and away-side of the trigger particle. The associate-particle ratios are studied as a function of the angle relative to the trigger particle azimuth $Deltaphi$. Such studies should help elucidate the origin of the modifications in the jet like correlations observed in Au+Au collisions relative to p+p collisions. And these studies also will help understand the variation of local parton densities at the away side. We discuss how these measurements might be related to several scenarios for interactions of fast partons with the medium created in Au+Au collision.

We measure the relative abundances of strange mesons, baryons, and anti-baryons correlated with high-$p_T$ trigger particles in $^{197}$Au + $^{197}$Au collisions at $sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 200 GeV. Particle yields and ratios are extracted on the near-side and away-side of the trigger particle. The associate-particle ratios are studied as a function of the angle relative to the trigger particle azimuth $Deltaphi$. Such studies should help elucidate the origin of the previously observed correlations and their strong modifications in Au+Au collisions relative to p+p collisions. We discuss how these measurements might be related to several scenarios for interactions of fast partons with the medium in Au+Au collision.
We analysed the $phi$ meson production in central Ni+Ni collisions at the beam kinetic energy of 1.93A GeV with the FOPI spectrometer and found the production probability per event of $[8.6 ~pm~ 1.6 ~(text{stat}) pm 1.5 ~(text{syst})] times 10^{-4}$. This new data point allows for the first time to inspect the centrality dependence of the subthreshold $phi$ meson production in heavy-ion collisions. The rise of $phi$ meson multiplicity per event with mean number of participants can be parameterized by the power function with exponent $alpha = 1.8 pm 0.6$. The ratio of $phi$ to $text{K}^-$ production yields seems not to depend within the experimental uncertainties on the collision centrality, and the average of measured values was found to be $0.36 pm 0.05$.
Two-particle azimuthal ($Deltaphi$) and pseudorapidity ($Deltaeta$) correlations using a trigger particle with large transverse momentum ($p_T$) in $d$+Au, Cu+Cu and Au+Au collisions at $sqrt{s_{{NN}}}$ =xspace 62.4 GeV and 200~GeV from the STAR expe riment at RHIC are presented. The s correlation is separated into a jet-like component, narrow in both $Deltaphi$ and $Deltaeta$, and the ridge, narrow in $Deltaphi$ but broad in $Deltaeta$. Both components are studied as a function of collision centrality, and the jet-like correlation is studied as a function of the trigger and associated $p_T$. The behavior of the jet-like component is remarkably consistent for different collision systems, suggesting it is produced by fragmentation. The width of the jet-like correlation is found to increase with the system size. The ridge, previously observed in Au+Au collisions at $sqrt{s_{{NN}}}$ = 200 GeV, is also found in Cu+Cu collisions and in collisions at $sqrt{s_{{NN}}}$ =xspace 62.4 GeV, but is found to be substantially smaller at $sqrt{s_{{NN}}}$ =xspace 62.4 GeV than at $sqrt{s_{{NN}}}$ = 200 GeV for the same average number of participants ($ langle N_{mathrm{part}}rangle$). Measurements of the ridge are compared to models.

Mass dependences of the total production rates per hadronic Z decay of all light-flavour hadrons measured so far at LEP are extrapolated to the zero mass limit (m=0) using phenomenological laws of hadron production related to the spin, isospin, stran geness content and mass of the particles. The vector-to-pseudoscalar and meson-to-baryon ratios at m=0 are found to be: rho^+ / 3 pi^+ = 1.2 +/- 0.3 and pi^+ / p = 2.9 +/- 0.3, in good agreement with the predictions of quark combinatorics.
We present high precision measurements of elliptic flow near midrapidity ($|y|<1.0$) for multi-strange hadrons and $phi$ meson as a function of centrality and transverse momentum in Au+Au collisions at center of mass energy $sqrt{s_{NN}}=$ 200 GeV. W e observe that the transverse momentum dependence of $phi$ and $Omega$ $v_{2}$ is similar to that of $pi$ and $p$, respectively, which may indicate that the heavier strange quark flows as strongly as the lighter up and down quarks. This observation constitutes a clear piece of evidence for the development of partonic collectivity in heavy-ion collisions at the top RHIC energy. Number of constituent quark scaling is found to hold within statistical uncertainty for both 0-30$%$ and 30-80$%$ collision centrality. There is an indication of the breakdown of previously observed mass ordering between $phi$ and proton $v_{2}$ at low transverse momentum in the 0-30$%$ centrality range, possibly indicating late hadronic interactions affecting the proton $v_{2}$.
