We consider the two-spin subsystem entanglement for eigenstates of the Hamiltonian [ H= sum_{1leq j< k leq N} (frac{1}{r_{j,k}})^{alpha} {mathbf sigma}_jcdot {mathbf sigma}_k ] for a ring of $N$ spins 1/2 with asssociated spin vector operator $(hbar /2){bf sigma}_j$ for the $j$-th spin. Here $r_{j,k}$ is the chord-distance betwen sites $j$ and $k$. The case $alpha =2$ corresponds to the solvable Haldane-Shastry model whose spectrum has very high degeneracies not present for $alpha eq 2$. Two spin subsystem entanglement shows high sensistivity and distinguishes $alpha =2$ from $alpha eq 2$. There is no entanglement beyond nearest neighbors for all eigenstates when $alpha =2$. Whereas for $alpha eq 2$ one has selective entanglement at any distance for eigenstates of sufficiently high energy in a certain interval of $alpha$ which depends on the energy. The ground state (which is a singlet only for even $N$) does not have entanglement beyond nearest neighbors, and the nearest neighbor entanglement is virtually independent of the range of the interaction controlled by $alpha$.

In this study, considering the long-range interaction with an inverse-square and its trigonometric and hyperbolic variants in SCM model we investigate entanglement in (1/2,1) mixed-spin XY model. We also discuss the temperature and magnetic field dep endence of the thermal entanglement in this system for different types of interaction. The numerical results show that, in the presence of the long-range interactions, thermal entanglement between spins has a rich behavior dependent upon the interaction strength, temperature and magnetic field. Indeed we find that for less than a critical distance there are entanglement plateaus dependent upon the distance between the spins, whereas above the critical distance the entanglement can exhibit sudden death.
We investigate many-body spin squeezing dynamics in an XXZ model with interactions that fall off with distance $r$ as $1/r^alpha$ in $D=2$ and $3$ spatial dimensions. In stark contrast to the Ising model, we find a broad parameter regime where spin s queezing comparable to the infinite-range $alpha=0$ limit is achievable even when interactions are short-ranged, $alpha>D$. A region of collective behavior in which optimal squeezing grows with system size extends all the way to the $alphatoinfty$ limit of nearest-neighbor interactions. Our predictions, made using the discrete truncated Wigner approximation (DTWA), are testable in a variety of experimental cold atomic, molecular, and optical platforms.
We examine the concurrence and entanglement entropy in quantum spin chains with random long-range couplings, spatially decaying with a power-law exponent $alpha$. Using the strong disorder renormalization group (SDRG) technique, we find by analytical solution of the master equation a strong disorder fixed point, characterized by a fixed point distribution of the couplings with a finite dynamical exponent, which describes the system consistently in the regime $alpha > 1/2$. A numerical implementation of the SDRG method yields a power law spatial decay of the average concurrence, which is also confirmed by exact numerical diagonalization. However, we find that the lowest-order SDRG approach is not sufficient to obtain the typical value of the concurrence. We therefore implement a correction scheme which allows us to obtain the leading order corrections to the random singlet state. This approach yields a power-law spatial decay of the typical value of the concurrence, which we derive both by a numerical implementation of the corrections and by analytics. Next, using numerical SDRG, the entanglement entropy (EE) is found to be logarithmically enhanced for all $alpha$, corresponding to a critical behavior with an effective central charge $c = {rm ln} 2$, independent of $alpha$. This is confirmed by an analytical derivation. Using numerical exact diagonalization (ED), we confirm the logarithmic enhancement of the EE and a weak dependence on $alpha$. For a wide range of distances $l$, the EE fits a critical behavior with a central charge close to $c=1$, which is the same as for the clean Haldane-Shastry model with a power-la-decaying interaction with $alpha =2$. Consistent with this observation, we find using ED that the concurrence shows power law decay, albeit with smaller power exponents than obtained by SDRG.

Unparticles as suggested by Georgi are identities that are not constrained by dispersion relations but are governed by their scaling dimension, d. Their coupling to particles can result in macroscopic interactions between matter, that are generally a n inverse nonintegral power of distance. This is totally different from known macroscopic forces. We use the precisely measured long-ranged spin-spin interaction of electrons to constrain unparticle couplings to the electron. For 1<d<1.5 the axial vector unparticle coupling is excluded; and for 1<d<1.3 the pseudoscalar and vector couplings are also ruled out. These bounds and the ones for other ranges of d exceed or are complementary to those obtained previously from exotic positronium decays.
We investigate the entanglement properties of the Kondo spin chain when it is prepared in its ground state as well as its dynamics following a single bond quench. We show that a true measure of entanglement such as negativity enables to characterize the unique features of the gapless Kondo regime. We determine the spatial extent of the Kondo screening cloud and propose an ansatz for the ground state in the Kondo regime accessible to this spin chain; we also demonstrate that the impurity spin is indeed maximally entangled with the Kondo cloud. We exploit these features of the entanglement in the gapless Kondo regime to show that a single local quench at one end of a Kondo spin chain may always induce a fast and long lived oscillatory dynamics, which establishes a high quality entanglement between the individual spins at the opposite ends of the chain. This entanglement is a footprint of the presence of the Kondo cloud and may be engineered so as to attain - even for very large chains- a constant high value independent of the length; in addition, it is thermally robust. To better evidence the remarkable peculiarities of the Kondo regime, we carry a parallel analysis of the entanglement properties of the Kondo spin chain model in the gapped dimerised regime where these remarkable features are absent.
