223 - Soren Lange 2011
New results of the Belle experiment at the KEKB asymmetric e^+e^- collider are presented, in particular (a) measurement of the mass and width of the $eta_c$ and $eta_c$ in B meson decays, (b) measurement of the mass, width and quantum numbers of the X(3872) and (c) observation of the $chi_{c2}$ in $B$ meson decays.
Monte-Carlo simulations for a resonance scan of the charmonium-like state X(3872) at Panda are performed. Final state radiation hadronic background reactions are taken into account. The signal reconstruction uses a realistic pattern recognition (trac k finder and track fitter) and electron/pion discrimination.
The PANDA experiment will not use any hardware trigger, i.e. all raw data are streaming in the data acquisition with a bandwidth of ~280 GB/s. The PANDA Online System is designed to perform data reduction by a factor of ~800 by reconstruction algorit hms programmed in VHDL (Very High Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language) on FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays).
