We are demonstrating that the Luttinger model with short range interaction can be treated as a type of Fermi liquid. In line with the main dogma of Landaus theory one can define a fermion excitation renormalized by interaction and show that in terms of these fermions any excited state of the system is described by free particles. The fermions are a mixture of renormalized right and left electrons. The electric charge and chirality of the Landau quasi-particle is discussed.
We briefly review analytic approximations of thermodynamic functions of fully ionized nonideal electron-ion plasmas, applicable in a wide range of plasma parameters, including the domains of nondegenerate and degenerate, nonrelativistic and relativis tic electrons, weakly and strongly coupled Coulomb liquids, classical and quantum Coulomb crystals. We present improvements to previously published approximations. Our code for calculation of thermodynamic functions based on the reviewed approximations is made publicly available.
The critical behaviour of the O(n)-symmetric model with two n-vector fields is studied within the field-theoretical renormalization group approach in a D=4-2 epsilon expansion. Depending on the coupling constants the beta-functions, fixed points and critical exponents are calculated up to the one- and two-loop order, resp. (eta in two- and three-loop order). Continuous lines of fixed points and O(n)*O(2) invariant discrete solutions were found. Apart from already known fixed points two new ones were found. One agrees in one-loop order with a known fixed point, but differs from it in two-loop order.

Experimental results on the density of states and on the acoustic modes of glasses in the THz region are compared to the predictions of two categories of models. A recent one, solely based on an elastic instability, does not account for most observat ions. Good agreement without adjustable parameters is obtained with models including the existence of non-acoustic vibrational modes at THz frequency, providing in many cases a comprehensive picture for a range of glass anomalies.
