We measure correlation functions of the nonperturbatively renormalized energy-momentum tensor in $N_f=2+1$ full QCD at finite temperature by applying the gradient flow method both to the gauge and quark fields. Our main interest is to study the conservation law of the energy-momentum tensor and to test whether the linear response relation is properly realized for the entropy density. By using the linear response relation we calculate the specific heat from the correlation function. We adopt the nonperturbatively improved Wilson fermion and Iwasaki gauge action at a fine lattice spacing $=0.07$ fm. In this paper the temperature is limited to a single value $T=232$ MeV. The $u$, $d$ quark mass is rather heavy with $m_pi/m_rho=0.63$ while the $s$ quark mass is set to approximately its physical value.

We study correlation functions of the energy-momentum tensor (EMT) in $(2+1)$-flavor full QCD to evaluate QGP viscosities. We adopt nonperturbatively improved Wilson fermion and Iwasaki gauge action. Our degenerate $u$, $d$ quark mass is rather heavy with $m_{pi}/m_{rho}simeq0.63$, while the $s$ quark mass is set to approximately its physical value. Performing simulations on lattices with $N_t=16$ to 6 at a fine lattice spacing of $a=0.07$ fm, the temperature range of $Tsimeq174$--$464$ MeV is covered using the fixed-scale approach. We attempt to compute viscosities by three steps: (1) calculate two point correlation functions of non-perturbatively renormalized EMT applying the gradient flow method, (2) derive the spectral function from correlation function, and (3) extract viscosities from the spectral function applying the Kubo formula. We report on the status of the project and present preliminary results for the shear viscosity in the high temperature phase.

We investigate the chiral phase transition at finite temperature (T) in colour SU(Nc=3) Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) with six species of fermions (Nf=6) in the fundamental representation by using lattice QCD with improved staggered fermions. By considering lattices with several temporal extensions Nt, we observe asymptotic scaling for Nt > 4. We then extract the dimensionless ratio Tc/Lambda_L (Lambda_L = Lattice Lambda-parameter) for Nf = 6 and Nf = 8, the latter relying on our earlier results. Further, we collect the critical couplings beta^c for the chiral phase transition at Nf = 0 (quenched), and Nf = 4 at a fixed Nt = 6. The results are consistent with enhanced fermionic screening at larger Nf. The Tc/Lambda_L depends very mildly on Nf in the Nf = 0 - 4 region, starts increasing at Nf = 6, and becomes significantly larger at Nf = 8, close to the edge of the conformal window. We discuss interpretations of these results as well as their possible interrelation with preconformal dynamics in the light of a functional renormalization group analysis.
We investigate the phase structure of 3-flavor QCD in the presence of finite quark chemical potential $amu=0.1$ by using the Wilson-Clover fermion action. Especially, we focus on locating the critical end point that characterizes the phase structure. We do this by the kurtosis intersection method for the quark condensate. For Wilson-type fermions, the correspondence between bare parameters and physical parameters is indirect. Hence we present a strategy to transfer the bare parameter phase structure to the physical one.

We study the topological charge in $N_f=2$ QCD at finite temperature using Mobius domain-wall fermions. The susceptibility $chi_t$ of the topological charge defined either by the index of overlap Dirac operator or a gluonic operator is investigated at several values of temperature $T (>T_c)$ varying the quark mass. A strong suppression of the susceptibility is observed below a certain value of the quark mass. The relation with the restoration of $U_A(1)$ is discussed.
We report on a continuum extrapolated result [arXiv:1309.5258] for the equation of state (EoS) of QCD with $N_f=2+1$ dynamical quark flavors. In this study, all systematics are controlled, quark masses are set to their physical values, and the continuum limit is taken using at least three lattice spacings corresponding to temporal extents up to $N_t=16$. A Symanzik improved gauge and stout-link improved staggered fermion action is used. Our results are available online [ancillary file to arXiv:1309.5258].
