For any two degrees coprime to the rank, we construct a family of ring isomorphisms parameterized by GSp(2g) between the cohomology of the moduli spaces of stable Higgs bundles which preserve the perverse filtrations. As consequences, we prove two structural results concerning the cohomology of Higgs moduli which are predicted by the P=W conjecture in non-abelian Hodge theory: (1) Galois conjugation for character varieties preserves the perverse filtrations for the corresponding Higgs moduli spaces. (2) The restriction of the Hodge-Tate decomposition for a character variety to each piece of the perverse filtration for the corresponding Higgs moduli space gives also a decomposition. Our proof uses reduction to positive characteristic and relies on the non-abelian Hodge correspondence in characteristic p between Dolbeault and de Rham moduli spaces.
In this note, we introduce the notion of a singular principal G-bundle, associated to a reductive algebraic group G over the complex numbers by means of a faithful representation $varrho^pcolon Glra SL(V)$. This concept is meant to provide an analogon to the notion of a torsion free sheaf as a generalization of the notion of a vector bundle. We will construct moduli spaces for these singular principal bundles which compactify the moduli spaces of stable principal bundles.
It is a longstanding problem in Algebraic Geometry to determine whether the syzygy bundle $E_{d_1,...,d_n}$ on $mathbb{P}^N$ defined as the kernel of a general epimorphism [phi:mathcal{O}(-d_1)oplus...oplusmathcal{O}(-d_n) tomathcal{O}] is (semi)stable. In this thesis, attention is restricted to the case of syzygy bundles $mathrm{Syz}(f_1,...,f_n)$ on $mathbb{P}^N$ associated to $n$ generic forms $f_1,...,f_nin K[X_0,...,X_N]$ of the same degree $d$, for ${Nge2}$. The first goal is to prove that $mathrm{Syz}(f_1,...,f_n)$ is stable if [N+1le nletbinom{d+N}{N},] except for the case ${(N,n,d)=(2,5,2)}$. The second is to study moduli spaces of stable rank ${n-1}$ vector bundles on $mathbb{P}^N$ containing syzygy bundles. In a joint work with Laura Costa and Rosa Mar{i}a Miro-Roig, we prove that $N$, $d$ and $n$ are as above, then the syzygy bundle $mathrm{Syz}(f_1,...,f_n)$ is unobstructed and it belongs to a generically smooth irreducible component of dimension ${ntbinom{d+N}{N}-n^2}$, if ${Nge3}$, and ${ntbinom{d+2}{2}+ntbinom{d-1}{2}-n^2}$, if ${N=2}$. The results in chapter 3, for $Nge3$, were obtained independently by Iustin Coandu{a} in arXiv:0909.4435.
In this paper, we obtain parametrizations of the moduli space of principal bundles over a compact Riemann surface using spaces of Hecke modifications in several cases. We begin with a discussion of Hecke modifications for principal bundles and give constructions of universal Hecke modifications of a fixed bundle of fixed type. This is followed by an overview of the construction of the wonderful, or De Concini--Procesi, compactification of a semi-simple algebraic group of adjoint type. The compactification plays an important role in the deformation theory used in constructing the parametrizations. A general outline to construct parametrizations is given and verifications for specific structure groups are carried out.
We consider a uniform $r$-bundle $E$ on a complex rational homogeneous space $X$ %over complex number field $mathbb{C}$ and show that if $E$ is poly-uniform with respect to all the special families of lines and the rank $r$ is less than or equal to some number that depends only on $X$, then $E$ is either a direct sum of line bundles or $delta_i$-unstable for some $delta_i$. So we partially answer a problem posted by Mu~{n}oz-Occhetta-Sol{a} Conde. In particular, if $X$ is a generalized Grassmannian $mathcal{G}$ and the rank $r$ is less than or equal to some number that depends only on $X$, then $E$ splits as a direct sum of line bundles. We improve the main theorem of Mu~{n}oz-Occhetta-Sol{a} Conde when $X$ is a generalized Grassmannian by considering the Chow rings. Moreover, by calculating the relative tangent bundles between two rational homogeneous spaces, we give explicit bounds for the generalized Grauert-M{u}lich-Barth theorem on rational homogeneous spaces.
