We investigate the representation theory of some recently constructed N=2 super W-algebras with two generators. Except for the central charges in the unitary minimal series of the N=2 super Virasoro algebra we find no new rational models. However, from our results it is possible to arrange all known N=2 super W-algebras with two generators and vanishing self-coupling constant into four classes. For the algebras existing for c >= 3 which can be understood by the spectral flow of the N=2 super Virasoro algebra we find that the representations have quantized U(1) charge.

We continue the search for rules that govern when off-shell 4D, $cal N$ = 1 supermultiplets can be combined to form off-shell 4D, $cal N$ = 2 supermultiplets. We study the ${mathbb S}_8$ permutations and Height Yielding Matrix Numbers (HYMN) embedded within the adinkras that correspond to these putative 4D, $cal N$ = 2 supermultiplets off-shell supermultiplets. Even though the HYMN definition was designed to distinguish between the raising and lowering of nodes in one dimensional valises supermultiplets, they are shown to accurately select out which combinations of off-shell 4D, $cal N$ = 1 supermultiplets correspond to off-shell 4D, $cal N$ = 2 supermultiplets. Only the combinations of the chiral + vector and chiral + tensor are found to have valises in the same class. This is consistent with the well known structure of 4D, $cal N$ = 2 supermultiplets.

We construct the T duals of certain type IIA brane configurations with one compact dimension (elliptic models) which contain orientifold planes. These configurations realize four-dimensional $NN=2$ finite field theories. For elliptic models with two negatively charged orientifold six-planes, the T duals are given by D3 branes at singularities in the presence of O7-planes and D7-branes. For elliptic models with two oppositely charged orientifold planes, the T duals are D3 branes at a different kind of orientifold singularities, which do not require D7 branes. We construct the adequate orientifold groups, and show that the cancellation of twisted tadpoles is equivalent to the finiteness of the corresponding field theory. One family of models contains orthogonal and symplectic gauge factors at the same time. These new orientifolds can also be used to define some six-dimensional RG fixed points which have been discussed from the type IIA brane configuration perspective.
The most difficult counterterms to construct in any supersymmetric theory are those that cannot be written as full superspace integrals of gauge-invariant integrands. In $D=4$ maximal supergravity it has been known for some time that there are just three of these at the linearised level. In this article we discuss these counterterms again from the point of view of representations of the superconformal group. In particular, we show that the only independent invariants constructed from shortened superconformal multiplets in $D=4$ are BPS.

We study two well-known classes of dualities in three dimensional N=2 supersymmetric field theories. In the first class there are non trivial interactions involving monopole operators while in the second class the dual gauge theories have Chern-Simons terms in the action. An RG flows connecting the first dual pair to the second one has been studied in the past and tested on the partition function on the squashed three sphere. Recently an opposite RG flow connecting the second dual pair to the first one has been studied in the case of unitary gauge groups. In this paper we study this flow on the partition function on the squashed three sphere. We verify that the equality between the partition functions of the original dual models is preserved in the IR, where the other dual pair is reached. We generalize the analysis to the case of symplectic and of orthogonal groups.
This is a long-overdue companion paper to arXiv:1512.00073. We study the relation between $sl(3|2)$ Chern-Simons supergravity on AdS$_3$ and two-dimensional CFTs with $mathcal{N}=2$ super-$mathcal{W}_3$ symmetry. Specifically, we carry out a complete analysis of asymptotic symmetries in a basis that makes the superconformal structure transparent, allowing us to establish the precise dictionary between currents and transformation parameters in the bulk and their boundary counterparts. We also discuss the incorporation of sources and display in full detail the corresponding holographic Ward identities. By imposing suitable hermiticity conditions on the CFT currents, we identify the superalgebra $su(2,1|1,1)$ as the appropriate real form of $sl(3|2)$ in Lorentzian signature. We take the opportunity to review some of the properties of the $mathcal{N}=2$ super-$mathcal{W}_3$ conformal algebra, including its multiplet structure, OPEs and spectral flow invariance, correcting some minor typos present in the literature.
