Two measurements are presented of estimators sensitive to the Colour Reconnection effect in WW events at LEP2. The results are compared with various phenomenological Monte Carlo implementations of the effect. A feasibility study is performed to reduce the total uncertainty in the direct W boson mass measurement at LEP2 by use of the inferred information about the Colour Reconnection effect.

We use the current CMS and ATLAS data for the leptonic $pp to WW, WZ$ channels to show that diboson production is, for a broad class of flavour models, already competitive with LEP-1 measurements for setting bounds on the dimension six operators parametrising the anomalous couplings between the quarks and the electroweak gauge bosons, at least under the assumption that any new particle is heavier than a few TeV. We also make an estimate of the HL-LHC reach with $3$ ab$^{-1}$. We comment on possible BSM interpretations of the bounds, and show the interplay with other searches for a simplified model with vector triplets. We further study the effect of modified $Z$-quark-quark couplings on the anomalous triple gauge coupling bounds. We find that their impact is already significant and that it could modify the constraints on $delta g_{1z}$ and $delta kappa_gamma$ by as much as a factor two at the end of HL-LHC ($lambda_gamma$ is only marginally affected), requiring a global fit to extract robust bounds. We stress the role of flavour assumptions and study explicitly flavour universal and minimal flavour violation scenarios, illustrating the differences with results obtained for universal theories.

The most precise measurement of the weak mixing angle sin^2(theta) at LEP is from the forward-backward asymmetry e+e- --> bbbar at the Z-pole. In this note the QED and electroweak radiative corrections to obtain the pole asymmetry from the measured asymmetry for b- and c-quarks have been calculated using ZFITTER, which has been amended to allow a consistent treatment of partial two-loop corrections for the b-quark final asymmetries. A total correction of dAfbb=0.0019+/-0.0002 and dAfbc=0.0064+/-0.0001 has been found, where the remaining theoretical uncertainty is much too small to explain the apparent discrepancy between sin^2(theta) obtained from Afbb and from the left-right asymmetry at SLD.
The four LEP experiments ALEPH, DELPHI, L3 and OPAL successfully recorded e+e- collision data during the years 1989 to 2000. As part of the ordinary evolution in High Energy Physics, these experiments can not be repeated and their data is therefore unique. This article briefly reviews the data preservation efforts undertaken by the four experiments beyond the end of data taking. The current status of the preserved data and associated tools is summarised.
For the small-angle Bhabha-scattering process, we consider the error budget for the calculation of the LEP/SLC luminosity in the Monte Carlo event generator BHLUMI 4.04, from the standpoint of new calculations of exact results for the respective O(alpha**2) photonic corrections in the context of the Yennie-Frautchi-Suura exponentiation. We find that an over-all precision tag for the currently available program BHLUMI 4.04 can be reduced from 0.11% to 0.061% at LEP1 and from 0.25% to 0.122% at LEP2. For the large-angle Bhabha process, we present the Monte Carlo program BHWIDE and compare its predictions with predictions of other Monte Carlo programs as well as semi-analytical calculations.

Selected topics on precision tests of the Standard Model of the Electroweak and the Strong Interaction at the LEP $e^+e^-$ collider are presented, including an update of the world summary of measurements of $alpha_s$, representing the state of knowledge of summer 1999. This write-up of lecture notes consists of a reproduction of slides, pictures and tables, supplemented by a short descriptive text and a list of relevant references.
