The Josephson vortices dynamic in superconducting $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$ ceramics was studied in frequency range 0.01-0.5 Hz by ac susceptibility measurements in non complete magnetic flux penetration regime. We have found that with the increase of magnetic field frequency starting from 0.01 Hz the ac magnetic response shows complex frequency dependence: in one half period of a sinusoidal field appear two asymmetrical peaks of real $Deltachiprime$ and imaginary $chiprimeprime$ parts of the ac susceptibility. The analysis of experimental results has led to an idea that probably the volume (diameter) of Josephson vortices increases during its movement. The experimental results are discussed in terms of Josephson vortex - vortex interactions.

The phase difference between the banks of an edge-type planar Josephson junction crossing the narrow thin-film strip depends on wether or not vortices are present in the junction banks. For a vortex close to the junction this effect has been seen by Golod, Rydh, and Krasnov, prl {bf 104}, 227003 (2010), who showed that the vortex may turn the junction into $pi$-type. It is shown here that even if the vortex is far away from the junction, it still changes the 0-junction to $pi$-junction when situated close to the strip edges. Within the approximation used, the latter effect is independent of the vortex-junction separation, a manifestation of topology of the vortex phase which extends to macroscopic distances of superconducting coherence.
Particles occupying sites of a random lattice present density fluctuations at all length scales. It has been proposed that increasing interparticle interactions reduces long range density fluctuations, deviating from random behaviour. This leads to power laws in the structure factor and the number variance that can be used to characterize deviations from randomness which eventually lead to disordered hyperuniformity. It is not yet fully clear how to link density fluctuations with interactions in a disordered hyperuniform system. Interactions between superconducting vortices are very sensitive to vortex pinning, to the crystal structure of the superconductor and to the value of the magnetic field. This creates lattices with different degrees of disorder. Here we study disordered vortex lattices in several superconducting compounds (Co-doped NbSe$_2$, LiFeAs and CaKFe$_4$As$_4$) and in two amorphous W-based thin films, one with strong nanostructured pinning (W-film-1) and another one with weak or nearly absent pinning (W-film-2). We calculate for each case the structure factor and number variance and compare to calculations on an interacting set of partially pinned particles. We find that random density fluctuations appear when pinning overcomes interactions and show that the suppression of density fluctuations is indeed correlated to the presence of interactions. Furthermore, we find that we can describe all studied vortex lattices within a single framework consisting of a continous deviation from hyperuniformity towards random distributions when increasing the strength of pinning with respect to the intervortex interaction.
In long Josephson junctions with multiple discontinuities of the Josephson phase, fractional vortex molecules are spontaneously formed. At each discontinuity point a fractional Josephson vortex carrying a magnetic flux $|Phi|<Phi_0$, $Phi_0approx 2.07times 10^{-15}$ Wb being the magnetic flux quantum, is pinned. Each vortex has an oscillatory eigenmode with a frequency that depends on $Phi/Phi_0$ and lies inside the plasma gap. We experimentally investigate the dependence of the eigenfrequencies of a two-vortex molecule on the distance between the vortices, on their topological charge $wp=2piPhi/Phi_0$ and on the bias current $gamma$ applied to the Josephson junction. We find that with decreasing distance between vortices, a splitting of the eigenfrequencies occurs, that corresponds to the emergence of collective oscillatory modes of both vortices. We use a resonant microwave spectroscopy technique and find good agreement between experimental results and theoretical predictions.
A superconducting rod with a magnetic moment on top develops vortices obtained here through 3D calculations of the Ginzburg-Landau theory. The inhomogeneity of the applied field brings new properties to the vortex patterns that vary according to the rod thickness. We find that for thin rods (disks) the vortex patterns are similar to those obtained in presence of a homogeneous magnetic field instead because they consist of giant vortex states. For thick rods novel patterns are obtained as vortices are curve lines in space that exit through the lateral surface.
We present small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) and Bitter decoration studies of the superconducting vortices in Ba(Fe$_{0.93}$Co$_{0.07}$)$_2$As$_2$}. A highly disordered vortex configuration is observed at all measured fields, and is attributed to strong pinning. This conclusion is supported by the absence of a Meissner rim in decoration images obtained close to the sample edge. The field dependence of the magnitude of the SANS scattering vector indicates vortex lattice domains of (distorted) hexagonal symmetry, consistent with the decoration images which show primarily 6-fold coordinated vortex domains. An analysis of the scattered intensity shows that this decreases much more rapidly than expected from estimates of the upper critical field, consistent with the large degree of disorder.
