We extend the results of [GVX] to the setting of a stable polar representation G|V (G connected, reductive over C), satisfying some mild additional hypotheses. Given a G-equivariant rank one local system L on the general fiber of the quotient map f : V --> V/G, we compute the Fourier transform of the corresponding nearby cycle sheaf P on the zero-fiber of f. Our main intended application is to the theory of character sheaves for graded semisimple Lie algebras over C.
We present a nearby cycle sheaf construction in the context of symmetric spaces. This construction can be regarded as a replacement for the Grothendieck-Springer resolution in classical Springer theory.
We extend the scope of a former paper to vector bundle problems involving more than one vector bundle. As the main application, we obtain the solution of the well-known moduli problems of vector bundles associated with general quivers.
For (X,L) a polarized toric variety and G a torus of automorphisms of (X,L), denote by Y the GIT quotient X/G. We define a family of fully faithful functors from the category of torus equivariant reflexive sheaves on Y to the category of torus equivariant reflexive sheaves on X. We show, under a genericity assumption on G, that slope stability is preserved by these functors if and only if the pair ((X, L), G) satisfies a combinatorial criterion. As an application, when (X,L) is a polarized toric orbifold of dimension n, we relate stable equivariant reflexive sheaves on (X, L) to stable equivariant reflexive sheaves on certain (n-1)-dimensional weighted projective spaces.
We study the moduli space of rank 2 instanton sheaves on $p3$ in terms of representations of a quiver consisting of 3 vertices and 4 arrows between two pairs of vertices. Aiming at an alternative compactification for the moduli space of instanton sheaves, we show that for each rank 2 instanton sheaf, there is a stability parameter $theta$ for which the corresponding quiver representation is $theta$-stable (in the sense of King), and that the space of stability parameters has a non trivial wall-and-chamber decomposition. Looking more closely at instantons of low charge, we prove that there are stability parameters with respect to which every representation corresponding to a rank 2 instanton sheaf of charge 2 is stable, and provide a complete description of the wall-and-chamber decomposition for representation corresponding to a rank 2 instanton sheaf of charge 1.
On a Weierstra{ss} elliptic surface $X$, we define a `limit of Bridgeland stability conditions, denoted as $Z^l$-stability, by moving the polarisation towards the fiber direction in the ample cone while keeping the volume of the polarisation fixed. We describe conditions under which a slope stable torsion-free sheaf is taken by a Fourier-Mukai transform to a $Z^l$-stable object, and describe a modification upon which a $Z^l$-semistable object is taken by the inverse Fourier-Mukai transform to a slope semistable torsion-free sheaf. We also study wall-crossing for Bridgeland stability, and show that 1-dimensional twisted Gieseker semistable sheaves are taken by a Fourier-Mukai transform to Bridgeland semistable objects.
