Dynamics near the grazing manifold and basins of attraction for a motion of a material point in a gravitational field, colliding with a moving motion-limiting stop, are investigated. The Poincare map, describing evolution from an impact to the next impact, is derived. Periodic points are found and their stability is determined. The grazing manifold is computed and dynamics is approximated in its vicinity. It is shown that on the grazing manifold there are trapping as well as forbidden regions. Finally, basins of attraction are studied.
Dependence of the transient process duration on the initial conditions is considered in one- and two-dimensional systems with discrete time, representing a logistic map and the Eno map, respectively.

We consider the one-dimensional totally asymmetric simple exclusion process with an arbitrary initial condition in a spatially periodic domain, and obtain explicit formulas for the multi-point distributions in the space-time plane. The formulas are given in terms of an integral involving a Fredholm determinant. We then evaluate the large-time, large-period limit in the relaxation time scale, which is the scale such that the system size starts to affect the height fluctuations. The limit is obtained assuming certain conditions on the initial condition, which we show that the step, flat, and step-flat initial conditions satisfy. Hence, we obtain the limit theorem for these three initial conditions in the periodic model, extending the previous work on the step initial condition. We also consider uniform random and uniform-step random initial conditions.

We study invariant systems of PDEs defining Killing vector-valued forms, and then we specialize to Killing spinor-valued forms. We give a detailed treatment of their prolongation and integrability conditions by relating the point-wise values of solutions to the curvature of the underlying manifold. As an example, we completely solve the equations on model spaces of constant curvature producing brand new solutions which do not come from the tensor product of Killing spinors and Killing-Yano forms.
We give explicit Fredholm conditions for classes of pseudodifferential operators on suitable singular and non-compact spaces. In particular, we include a users guide to Fredholm conditions on particular classes of manifolds including asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds, asymptotically Euclidean (or conic) manifolds, and manifolds with poly-cylindrical ends. The reader interested in applications should be able read right away the results related to those examples, beginning with Section 5. Our general, theoretical results are that an operator adapted to the geometry is Fredholm if, and only if, it is elliptic and all its limit operators, in a sense to be made precise, are invertible. Central to our theoretical results is the concept of a Fredholm groupoid, which is the class of groupoids for which this characterization of the Fredholm condition is valid. We use the notions of exhaustive and strictly spectral families of representations to obtain a general characterization of Fredholm groupoids. In particular, we introduce the class of the so-called groupoids with Exels property as the groupoids for which the regular representations are exhaustive. We show that the class of stratified submersion groupoids has Exels property, where stratified submersion groupoids are defined by glueing fibered pull-backs of bundles of Lie groups. We prove that a stratified submersion groupoid is Fredholm whenever its isotropy groups are amenable. Many groupoids, and hence many pseudodifferential operators appearing in practice, fit into this framework. This fact is explored to yield Fredholm conditions not only in the above mentioned classes, but also on manifolds that are obtained by desingularization or by blow-up of singular sets.
