We generalize the coset procedure of homogeneous spacetimes in (pseudo-)Riemannian geometry to non-Lorentzian geometries. These are manifolds endowed with nowhere vanishing invertible vielbeins that transform under local non-Lorentzian tangent space transformations. In particular, we focus on nonrelativistic symmetry algebras that give rise to (torsional) Newton-Cartan geometries, for which we demonstrate how the Newton-Cartan metric complex is determined by degenerate co- and contravariant symmetric bilinear forms on the coset. In specific cases, we also show the connection of the resulting nonrelativistic coset spacetimes to pseudo-Riemannian cosets via Inonu-Wigner contraction of relativistic algebras as well as null reduction. Our construction is of use for example when considering limits of the AdS/CFT correspondence in which nonrelativistic spacetimes appear as gravitational backgrounds for nonrelativistic string or gravity theories.

We present a procedure for quantizing complex projective spaces $mathbb{CP}^{p,q}$, $qge 1$, as well as construct relevant star products on these spaces. The quantization is made unique with the demand that it preserves the full isometry algebra of the metric. Although the isometry algebra, namely $su(p+1,q)$, is preserved by the quantization, the Killing vectors generating these isometries pick up quantum corrections. The quantization procedure is an extension of one applied recently to Euclidean $AdS_2$, where it was found that all quantum corrections to the Killing vectors vanish in the asymptotic limit, in addition to the result that the star product trivializes to pointwise product in the limit. In other words, the space is asymptotically anti-de Sitter making it a possible candidate for the $AdS/CFT$ correspondence principle. In this article, we find indications that the results for quantized Euclidean $AdS_2$ can be extended to quantized $mathbb{CP}^{p,q}$, i.e., noncommutativity is restricted to a limited neighborhood of some origin, and these quantum spaces approach $mathbb{CP}^{p,q}$ in the asymptotic limit.

We construct several classes of worldvolume effective actions for black holes by integrating out spatial sections of the worldvolume geometry of asymptotically flat black branes. This provides a generalisation of the blackfold approach for higher-dimensional black holes and yields a map between different effective theories, which we exploit by obtaining new hydrodynamic and elastic transport coefficients via simple integrations. Using Euclidean minimal surfaces in order to decouple the fluid dynamics on different sections of the worldvolume, we obtain local effective theories for ultraspinning Myers-Perry branes and helicoidal black branes, described in terms of a stress-energy tensor, particle currents and non-trivial boost vectors. We then study in detail and present novel compact and non-compact geometries for black hole horizons in higher-dimensional asymptotically flat space-time. These include doubly-spinning black rings, black helicoids and helicoidal $p$-branes as well as helicoidal black rings and helicoidal black tori in $Dge6$.
We consider gravitational perturbations of 2D dilaton gravity systems and show that these can be recast into $Tbar{T}$-deformations (at least) under certain conditions, where $T$ means the energy-momentum tensor of the matter field coupled to a dilaton gravity. In particular, the class of theories under this condition includes a Jackiw-Teitelboim (JT) theory with a negative cosmological constant including conformal matter fields. This is a generalization of the preceding work on the flat-space JT gravity by S. Dubovsky, V. Gorbenko and M. Mirbabayi [arXiv:1706.06604].
We provide an exhaustive classification of self-dual four-dimensional gravitational instantons foliated with three-dimensional homogeneous spaces, i.e. homogeneous self-dual metrics on four-dimensional Euclidean spaces admitting a Bianchi simply transitive isometry group. The classification pattern is based on the algebra homomorphisms relating the Bianchi group and the duality group SO(3). New and general solutions are found for Bianchi III.
We consider families of geometries of D--dimensional space, described by a finite number of parameters. Starting from the De Witt metric we extract a unique integration measure which turns out to be a geometric invariant, i.e. independent of the gauge fixed metric used for describing the geometries. The measure is also invariant in form under an arbitrary change of parameters describing the geometries. We prove the existence of geometries for which there are no related gauge fixing surfaces orthogonal to the gauge fibers. The additional functional integration on the conformal factor makes the measure independent of the free parameter intervening in the De Witt metric. The determinants appearing in the measure are mathematically well defined even though technically difficult to compute.
