In this paper we tried a different approach to work out the integrals of e^(x^n) and e^(-x^n). Integration by parts shows a nice pattern which can be reduced to a form of series. We have shown both the indefinite and definite integrals of the functions mentioned along with some essential properties e.g. conditions of convergence of the series. Further more, we used the integrals in form of series to find out series solution of differential equations of the form x[(d^2 y)/(dx^2)]-(n-1)(dy/dx)-n^2 x^(2n-1)y-nx^n=0 and x[(d^2 y)/(dx^2)] -(n-1)(dy/dx)-n^2x^(2n-1)y+(n-1)=0, using some non standard method. We introduced modified Normal distribution incorporating some properties derived from the above integrals and defined a generalized version of Skewness and Kurtosis. Finally we extended Starlings approximation to limit [n to infinity ] (2n)! ~ 2n * sqrt{(2pi)} [(2n/e)]^(2n).

Using recent BABAR, CMD-3 and SND data, the sum of $e^+e^- to 3(pi^+pi^-), 2(pi^+pi^-pi^0), pbar{p}, nbar{n}$ cross sections is obtained. Unlike $e^+e^- to 3(pi^+pi^-)$ and $e^+e^- to 2(pi^+pi^-pi^0)$ processes, no structures in total cross section are found near the $Nbar{N}$ threshold within the limits of measurement errors.
If the $X(3872)$ is a weakly bound charm-meson molecule, it can be produced in $e^+ e^-$ annihilation by the creation of $D^{*0} bar D^{*0}$ from a virtual photon followed by the rescattering of the P-wave charm-meson pair into the $X$ and a photon. A triangle singularity produces a narrow peak in the cross section for $e^+ e^- to X gamma$ 2.2 MeV above the $D^{*0} bar{D}^{*0}$ threshold. We predict the normalized cross section in the region of the peak. We show that the absorptive contribution to the cross section for $e^+ e^- to D^{*0} bar D^{*0} to X gamma$, which was calculated previously by Dubynskiy and Voloshin, does not give a good approximation to the peak from the triangle singularity.
We propose a new class of mathematical structures called (m,n)-semirings} (which generalize the usual semirings), and describe their basic properties. We also define partial ordering, and generalize the concepts of congruence, homomorphism, ideals, etc., for (m,n)-semirings. Following earlier work by Rao, we consider a system as made up of several components whose failures may cause it to fail, and represent the set of systems algebraically as an (m,n)-semiring. Based on the characteristics of these components we present a formalism to compare the fault tolerance behaviour of two systems using our framework of a partially ordered (m,n)-semiring.
Let S be a nonsingular projective K3 surface. Motivated by the study of the Gromov-Witten theory of the Hilbert scheme of points of S, we conjecture a formula for the Gromov-Witten theory (in all curve classes) of the Calabi-Yau 3-fold S x E where E is an elliptic curve. In the primitive case, our conjecture is expressed in terms of the Igusa cusp form chi_{10} and matches a prediction via heterotic duality by Katz, Klemm, and Vafa. In imprimitive cases, our conjecture suggests a new structure for the complete theory of descendent integration for K3 surfaces. Via the Gromov-Witten/Pairs correspondence, a conjecture for the reduced stable pairs theory of S x E is also presented. Speculations about the motivic stable pairs theory of S x E are made. The reduced Gromov-Witten theory of the Hilbert scheme of points of S is much richer than S x E. The 2-point function of Hilb(S,d) determines a matrix with trace equal to the partition function of S x E. A conjectural form for the full matrix is given.
