The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between dental
anesthetic and pulse and blood pressure.
A sample of 600 patients was taken randomly
( 322 males - 278 females).
The research was done on patients by giving dental anestheti
c with and
without adrenaline .
The results of the study indicated that:
- The heart rate and blood pressure of the patients receiving an injection of
xylocaine without adrenaline increased by average of 4% -5% respectively.
- The heart rate and blood pressure of the patients receiving an injection of
xylocain with adrenaline increased by average of 12%-15% respectively.
- the heart rate and blood pressure were mesured after 15 minutes we found
that there was not any change in the value from the previous result.
- when the heart rate and blood pressurewere mesured after 30 minuts hour
we found that:
- The heart rate and blood pressure returned to the normal value in case an
injection without adrenaline .
-in case an injection with adrenaline the heart rate increase by 1 puls The
blood pressure l increased by 1 cm.m.
