The research is an architectural study for the city of Amrit, it
describes the city and specifies its values. The Study includes all the
heritage parts and evaluates their conditions to determinate the
problems and the interventions that make Amri
t is threatened with
extinction and collapse. This architectural study describes the
current situation, which was previewed through the architectural
lifting and viewing of the site and its surroundings in the middle of
the year 2011. The study is proposed scheme to protect the site from
environmental and human risks and the outline of another to
maintain it and make recommendations for taking actions and laws
that are necessary for the protection of the archaeological site and
legislation and prevent the deterioration of it.
This research highlights the role of urban heritage as
powerful economic and touristic resources in addition to its role as
an essential source for community development, as well as a
basis to conserve the local culture and urban identity. The
im
portant objective of maintaining the site aims at protecting the
values and the resources of the properties, as well as protecting
the core materials ensuring its integrity for the benefit of future
generations. The research aims to identify the concept of
protection and conservation of the historic areas and to clarify the
