In the text of article 275 of the new Syrian Code of
Procedure, the legislator included the marriage instrument in
the executive documents which may be implemented directly
through the Execution Department. Enforcement circles have
become more restrictive than ever before with husbands to
require a dowry without the husband being sentenced to.
