Khat Chewing and Smoking Effect on Oral Mucosa (A Clinical Study)

Khat chewing is a deep-rooted habit in Yemen. It has many negative impacts on different body systems. The spread of khat chewing among adult males in Yemeni society needs special attention. Cathinone and cathine are the most stimulants of khat ingredients. Other ingredients could have other implication such as gastrointestinal carcinogenic tannins. the aim of this study is to Investigate chronic khatchewing effects on oral mucosa and the role of concurrent smoking.

Recurrent Aphthous Stomatitis and some effective factors on its incidence among dental school students of Damascus University

The aim of study: to determine the prevalence and probable predisposing factors of RAS among the dental students (as thought by patients ) . the study was cross- sectional one , carried out on 115 students of dental school of Damascus University , data was collected by filling a questionnaire .

Comperative Study of Prevalence of Median Rhomboid Glossitis among Patients Attending Dentistry Colleges in Damascus and Ibb Universities

Median rhomboid glossitis is considerd one of the rare lasions of the tongue and It is localized on it`s ventroposterior part. It is considered to be of fungal cause. This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of median rhomboid glossitis among patients attending dentistry colleges in Damascus and Ibb universities and to compare these prevalences with eachother and with those of different published studies.
