The previous VPT 2020 workshop was organized in honour of Professor Alberto Pettorossi on the occasion of his academic retirement from Universit`a di Roma Tor Vergata. Due to the pandemic the VPT 2020 meeting was cancelled but its proceeding have alr eady appeared in the EPTCS 320 volume. The joint VPT-20-21 event has subsumed the original programme of VPT 2020 and provided an opportunity to meet and celebrate the achievements of Professor Alberto Pettorossi; its programme was further expanded with the newly submitted presentations for VPT 2021. The aim of the VPT workshop series is to provide a forum where people from the areas of program transformation and program verification can fruitfully exchange ideas and gain a deeper understanding of the interactions between those two fields.
The proceedings consist of a keynote paper by Alberto followed by 6 invited papers written by Lorenzo Clemente (U. Warsaw), Alain Finkel (U. Paris-Saclay), John Gallagher (Roskilde U. and IMDEA Software Institute) et al., Neil Jones (U. Copenhagen) e t al., Michael Leuschel (Heinrich-Heine U.) and Maurizio Proietti (IASI-CNR) et al.. These invited papers are followed by 4 regular papers accepted at VPT 2020 and the papers of HCVS 2020 which consist of three contributed papers and an invited paper on the third competition of solvers for Constrained Horn Clauses. In addition, the abstracts (in HTML format) of 3 invited talks at VPT 2020 by Andrzej Skowron (U. Warsaw), Sophie Renault (EPO) and Moa Johansson (Chalmers U.), are included.

This volume contains the formal proceedings of the 5th International Workshop on Rewriting Techniques for Program Transformations and Evaluation (WPTE 2018), held on 8th of Juli 2018 in Oxford, United Kingdom, and affiliated with FLoC 2018 and FSCD 2 018. Scope of WPTE: Rewriting techniques are of great help for studying correctness of program transformations, translations and evaluation, and the aim of WPTE is to bring together the researchers working on program transformations, evaluation, and operationally-based programming language semantics, using rewriting methods, in order to share the techniques and recent developments and to exchange ideas to encourage further activation of research in this area. Topics in the scope of WPTE include the correctness of program transformations, optimisations and translations; program transformations for proving termination, confluence and other properties; correctness of evaluation strategies; operational semantics of programs, operationally-based program equivalences such as contextual equivalences and bisimulations; cost-models for reasoning about the optimizing power of transformations and the costs of evaluation; program transformations for verification and theorem proving purposes; translation, simulation, equivalence of programs with different formalisms, and evaluation strategies; program transformations for applying rewriting techniques to programs in specific programming languages; program transformations for program
This volume contains the joint proceedings of MARS 2018, the third workshop on Models for Formal Analysis of Real Systems, and VPT 2018, the sixth international workshop on Verification and Program Transformation, held together on April 20, 2018 in T hessaloniki, Greece, as part of ETAPS 2018, the European Joint Conferences on Theory and Practice of Software. MARS emphasises modelling over verification. It aims at discussing the lessons learned from making formal methods for the verification and analysis of realistic systems. Examples are: (1) Which formalism is chosen, and why? (2) Which abstractions have to be made and why? (3) How are important characteristics of the system modelled? (4) Were there any complications while modelling the system? (5) Which measures were taken to guarantee the accuracy of the model? We invited papers that present full models of real systems, which may lay the basis for future comparison and analysis. An aim of the workshop is to present different modelling approaches and discuss pros and cons for each of them. Alternative formal descriptions of the systems presented at this workshop are encouraged, which should foster the development of improved specification formalisms. VPT aims to provide a forum where people from the areas of program transformation and program verification can fruitfully exchange ideas and gain a deeper understanding of the interactions between those two fields. These interactions have been beneficial in both directions. On the one hand, methods and tools developed in the field of program transformation, such as partial deduction, partial evaluation, fold/unfold transformations, and supercompilation, are applied with success to verification, in particular to the verification of infinite state and parameterized systems. On the other hand, methods developed in program verification, such as model checking, abstract interpretation, SAT and SMT solving, and automated theorem proving, are used to enhance program transformation techniques, thereby making these techniques more powerful and useful in practice.

This volume of the Electronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science (EPTCS) contains extended abstracts of talks to be presented at the Seventh International Conference on Computability and Complexity in Analysis (CCA 2010) that will take place in Zhenjiang, China, June 21-25, 2010. This conference is the seventeenth event in the series of CCA annual meetings. The CCA conferences are aimed at promoting the study and advancement of the theory of computability and complexity over real-valued data and its application.
