The binary Re$_{1-x}$Mo$_x$ alloys, known to cover the full range of solid solutions, were successfully synthesized and their crystal structures and physical properties investigated via powder x-ray diffraction, electrical resistivity, magnetic susceptibility, and heat capacity. By varying the Re/Mo ratio we explore the full Re$_{1-x}$Mo$_x$ binary phase diagram, in all its four different solid phases: hcp-Mg ($P6_3/mmc$), $alpha$-Mn ($Ioverline{4}3m$), $beta$-CrFe ($P4_2/mnm$), and bcc-W ($Imoverline{3}m$), of which the second is non-centrosymmetric with the rest being centrosymmetric. All Re$_{1-x}$Mo$_x$ alloys are superconductors, whose critical temperatures exhibit a peculiar phase diagram, characterized by three different superconducting regions. In most alloys the $T_c$ is almost an order of magnitude higher than in pure Re and Mo. Low-temperature electronic specific-heat data evidence a fully-gapped superconducting state, whose enhanced gap magnitude and specific-heat discontinuity suggest a moderately strong electron-phonon coupling across the series. Considering that several $alpha$-Mn-type Re$T$ alloys ($T$ = transition metal) show time-reversal symmetry breaking (TRSB) in the superconducting state, while TRS is preserved in the isostructural Mg$_{10}$Ir$_{19}$B$_{16}$ or Nb$_{0.5}$Os$_{0.5}$, the Re$_{1-x}$Mo$_x$ alloys represent another suitable system for studying the interplay of space-inversion, gauge, and time-reversal symmetries in future experiments expected to probe TRSB in the Re$T$ family.

We present the results of resonant photoemission spectroscopy experiments on the Mo$_{1-x}$Re$_{x}$ alloy compositions spanning over two electronic topological transitions (ETT) at the critical concentrations $x_{C1}$ = 0.05 and $x_{C2}$ = 0.11. The photoelectrons show an additional resonance ($R3$) in the constant initial state (CIS) spectra of the alloys along with two resonances ($R1$ and $R2$) which are similar to those observed in molybdenum. All the resonances show Fano-like line shapes. The asymmetry parameter $q$ of the resonances $R1$ and $R3$ of the alloys is observed to be large and negative. Our analysis suggests that the origin of large negative q is associated with phonon assisted inter band scattering between the Mo-like states and the narrow band that appeared due to the ETT.
The Pr-rich end of the alloy series Pr$_{1-x}$Nd$_x$Os$_4$Sb$_{12}$ has been studied using muon spin rotation and relaxation. The end compound PrOs$_4$Sb$_{12}$ is an unconventional heavy-fermion superconductor, which exhibits a spontaneous magnetic field in the superconducting phase associated with broken time-reversal symmetry. No spontaneous field is observed in the Nd-doped alloys for x $>$ 0.05. The superfluid density is insensitive to Nd concentration, and no Nd$^{3+}$ static magnetism is found down to the lowest temperatures of measurement. Together with the slow suppression of the superconducting transition temperature with Nd doping, these results suggest anomalously weak coupling between Nd spins and conduction-band states.

We present research on the superconducting properties of Nb$_{x}$Re$_{1-x}$ ($x$ = 0.13-0.38) obtained by measuring the electrical resistivity $rho(T)$, magnetic susceptibility $chi(T)$, specific heat $C_P(T)$, and London penetration depth $Deltalamb da(T)$. It is found that the superconducting transition temperature $T_c$ decreases monotonically with an increase of $x$. The upper critical field $B_{c2}(T)$ for various $x$ can be nicely scaled by its corresponding $T_c$. The electronic specific heat $C_e(T)/T$, penetration depth $Deltalambda(T)$, and superfluid density $rho_{s}(T)$ demonstrate exponential behavior at low temperatures and can be well fitted by a one-gap BCS model. The residual Sommerfeld coefficient $gamma_0(B)$ in the superconducting state follows a linear field dependence. All these properties suggest an emph{s}-wave BCS-type of superconductivity with a very large $B_{c2}(0)$ for Nb$_{x}$Re$_{1-x}$ (0.13 $leq x leq$ 0.38).
We report measurements of the London penetration depth [$Deltalambda(T)$] of the recently discovered iron-based superconductor (Li$_{1-x}$Fe$_x$)OHFeSe, in order to characterize the nature of the superconducting gap structure. At low temperatures, $D eltalambda(T)$ displays nearly temperature independent behavior, indicating a fully open superconducting gap. We also analyze the superfluid density $rho_s(T)$ which cannot be well accounted for by a single-gap isotropic $s$-wave model but are consistent with either two-gaps, a model for the orbital selective $stimestau_3$ state or anisotropic $s$-wave superconductivity.

Raman spectra have been measured on iron-based quaternary CeO$_{1-x}$F$_x$FeAs and LaO$_{1-x}$F$_x$FeAs with varying fluorine doping at room temperatures. A group analysis has been made to clarify the optical modes. Based on the first principle calcu lations, the observed phonon modes can be assigned accordingly. In LaO$_{1-x}$F$_x$FeAs, the E$_g$ and A$_{1g}$ modes related to the vibrations of La, are suppressed with increasing F doping. However F doping only has a small effect on the E$_g$ and A$_{1g}$ modes of Fe and As. The Raman modes of La and As are absent in rare-earth substituted CeO$_{1-x}$F$_x$FeAs, and the E$_g$ mode of oxygen, corresponding to the in-plane vibration of oxygen, moves to around 450 cm$^{-1}$ and shows a very sharp peak. Electronic scattering background is low and electron-phonon coupling is not evident for the observed phonon modes. Three features are found above 500 cm$^{-1}$, which may be associated with multi-phonon process. Nevertheless it is also possible that they are related to magnetic fluctuations or interband transitions of d orbitals considering their energies.
