The measurements of the centrality dependence of $dN/deta$ and transverse momentum spectra from mid- to forward rapidity in d+Au collisions at $sqrt{s_{_{rm NN}}} =$ 200 GeV are reported. They provide a sensitive tool for understanding the dynamics of multi-particle production in the high parton-density regime. In particular, we observe strong suppression of the nuclear modification factor $R_{CP}$ at forward rapidities (d-side, $eta$ = 3.1) and enhancement at backward rapidity ($eta$ = $-$3.1). An empirical scaling is obtained for multiplicity and $R_{CP}$ when a shift of the center-of-mass in the asymmetric d+Au collisions with respect to the nucleon-nucleon system is applied.
Heavy-flavor quarks are dominantly produced in initial hard scattering processes and experience the whole evolution of the system in heavy-ion collisions at RHIC energies. Thus they are suggested to be an excellent probe to the medium properties thro
The STAR Collaboration at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider reports the first measurement of inclusive jet production in peripheral and central Au+Au collisions at $sqrt{s_{NN}}$=200 GeV. Jets are reconstructed with the anti-k$_{T}$ algorithm using
The PHENIX experiment has measured $phi$ meson production in $d$$+$Au collisions at $sqrt{s_{_{NN}}}=200$ GeV using the dimuon and dielectron decay channels. The $phi$ meson is measured in the forward (backward) $d$-going (Au-going) direction, $1.2<y
We present measurements of $e^+e^-$ production at midrapidity in Au$+$Au collisions at $sqrt{s_{_{NN}}}$ = 200 GeV. The invariant yield is studied within the PHENIX detector acceptance over a wide range of mass ($m_{ee} <$ 5 GeV/$c^2$) and pair trans
Event-by-event fluctuations of the ratio of inclusive charged to photon multiplicities at forward rapidity in Au+Au collision at $sqrt{s_{NN}}$=200 GeV have been studied. Dominant contribution to such fluctuations is expected to come from correlated
