Small-angle, two-particle correlation functions have been measured for 36Ar+ 112,124Sn collisions at E/A = 61 MeV. Total momentum gated neutron-proton (np) and proton-proton (pp) correlations are stronger for the 124Sn-target. Some of the correlation functions for particle pairs involving deuterons or tritons (nd, pt, and nt) also show a dependence on the isospin of the emitting source.

Experimental kinetic energy distributions and small-angle two-particle correlation functions involving deuterons and tritons are compared for 36Ar+ 112,124Sn collisions at E/A = 61 MeV (i.e. for systems similar in size, but with different isospin con tent). A larger triton yield is observed from the more neutron-rich system, as predicted by IBUU simulations, while the emission times of the light clusters are found to be the same for the two Sn-target systems. For both systems, the time sequence tau_{d} < tau_{p} < tau_{t}, is deduced for charged particles emitted from the intermediate velocity source.
40Ca+40,48Ca,46Ti reactions at 25 MeV/A have been studied using the 4p CHIMERA detector. An isospin effect on the competition between incomplete fusion and dissipative binary reaction mechanisms has been observed. The probability of producing a compo und system is observed to be lower in the case of N=Z colliding systems as compared to the case of reactions induced on the more neutron rich 48Ca target. Predictions based on CoMD-II calculations show that the competition between fusion-like and dissipative reactions, for the selected centrality, can strongly constraint the parameterization of symmetry energy and its density dependence in the nuclear equation of state.

A recent analysis of experimental ternary fission fragment yields using a nucleation moderated statistical equilibrium model reproduced observed yields with fairly good accuracy. In the present work, the same approach is applied to neck emission in p eripheral and mid-peripheral 124Sn+112,124Sn collisions at 26A MeV. The model can reasonably reproduce the yields of lithium to silicon isotopes with realistic time and temperature values. A comparison is made between equilibrium constants derived from the present data and those previously obtained for ternary fission of 242Pu.
Isotopically resolved fragments with Z<=20 have been studied with high resolution telescopes in a test run for the FAZIA collaboration. The fragments were produced by the collision of a 84Kr beam at 35 MeV/nucleon with a n-rich (124Sn) and a n-poor ( 112Sn) target. The fragments, detected close to the grazing angle, are mainly emitted from the phase-space region of the projectile. The fragment isotopic content clearly depends on the n-richness of the target and it is a direct evidence of isospin diffusion between projectile and target. The observed enhanced neutron richness of light fragments emitted from the phase-space region close to the center of mass of the system can be interpreted as an effect of isospin drift in the diluted neck region.

The interplay of the effects of geometry and collective motion on d-$alpha$ correlation functions is investigated for central Xe+Au collisions at E/A=50 MeV. The data cannot be explained without collective motion, which could be partly along the beam axis. A semi-quantitative description of the data can be obtained using a Monte-Carlo model, where thermal emission is superimposed on collective motion. Both the emission volume and the competition between the thermal and collective motion influence significantly the shape of the correlation function, motivating new strategies for extending intensity interferometry studies to massive particles.
