Recent experimental results from CLEO indicate that strong penguin processes are remarkably robust. These results have spurred a variety of theoretical efforts which will be briefly review here. In particular we will discuss exclusive modes, inclusive eta-prime modes, the charm deficit and the implications for CP violation.
In supersymmetry with large tan(beta) the decays B0(B0bar) -> l+l- are dominated by the scalar and pseudoscalar Higgs penguin diagrams leading to strong enhancement of leptonic decay rates with potentially large CP asymmetries in the tau+tau- decay m
We present preliminary results on two analyses performed by the SLD Collaboration using inclusive B decays: a search for CP violation and a search for the b --> sg transition.
With the wealth of new data from the B-factories, b -> d penguin decays become available for study, in addition to their b -> s counterparts that have proven an indespensable tool for the exploration of new-physics effects in flavour physics. A promi
In the perturbative QCD approach to exclusive B decays to two light mesons, the leading twist contribution corresponds to those diagrams in the Lepage-Brodsky expansion in which the would be spectator quark receives its recoil momentum via one gluon
The BaBar detector and SLAC PEP-II asymmetric e+e- collider tuned to the Y(4s) resonance has collected around 23M B0 anti-B0 pairs in year 2000. The total data sample for run 1 is 20.7fb-1, using this data we present the study of sin2beta, with sampl
