We discuss the possibility of a direct access to transversity distributions by measuring the double transverse spin asymmetry A_TT in p pbar --> J/Psi + X --> l^- l^+ + X processes at future GSI-HESR experiments with polarized protons and anti-protons. In the J/Psi resonance production region, with 30 < s < 45 GeV^2, both the cross-section and A_TT are expected to be sufficiently large to allow a measurement of h_1^q(x,M^2); numerical estimates are given.

Data are presented on the reaction J/psi--> p pbar eta using 7.8 million J/psi triggers collected by the BEjing Spectrometer (BES). A partial wave analysis is performed. A clear enhancement near the p eta(pbar eta) threshold is observed. It is fitted with a JP=1/2- resonance with mass $M= 1530pm 10$ MeV and width $Gamma = 95pm 25$ MeV. In addition, there is a peak around 1650 MeV with JP=1/2- preferred also, fitted with $M =1647pm 20$ MeV and $Gamma = 145^{+80}_{-45}$ MeV. These two N* resonances are believed to be the two well established states, S11(1535) and S11(1650), respectively. It is the first partial wave study of the production of these resonances from J/psi decays.
The production mechanism of quarkonia states in hadronic collisions is still to be understood by the scientific community. In high-multiplicity $p+p$ collisions, Underlying Event (UE) observables are of major interest. The Multi-Parton Interactions ( MPI) is a UE observable, where several interactions occur at the partonic level in a single $p+p$ event. This leads to dependence of particle production on event multiplicity. If the MPI occurs in a harder scale, there will be a correlation between the yield of quarkonia and total charged particle multiplicity. The ALICE experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in $p+p$ collisions at $sqrt{s}$ = 7 and 13 TeV has observed an approximate linear increase of relative $J/psi$ yield ($frac{dN_{J/psi}/dy}{<dN_{J/psi}/dy>}$) with relative charged particle multiplicity density ($frac{dN_{ch}/dy}{<dN_{ch}/dy>}$). In our present work we have performed a comprehensive study of the production of charmonia as a function of charged particle multiplicity in $p+p$ collisions at LHC energies using pQCD-inspired multiparton interaction model, PYTHIA8 tune 4C, with and without Color Reconnection (CR) scheme. A detail multiplicity and energy dependent study is performed to understand the effects of MPI on $J/psi$ production. The ratio of $psi(2S)$ to $J/psi$ is also studied as a function of charged particle multiplicity at LHC energies.
We present measurements of the polarization of the $ J/psi $ produced in 800-GeV proton interactions with a copper target. Polarization of the $ J/psi $ is sensitive to the $ c bar{c} $ production and hadronization processes. A longitudinal polarizat ion is observed at large $ x_{F} $, while at small $ x_{F} $ the state is produced essentially unpolarized or slightly transversely polarized. No significant variation of the polarization is observed versus $ p_{T} $.
Using $2.25times10^{8}$ $J/psi$ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage rings, we observe for the first time the process $J/psirightarrow pbar{p}a_{0}(980)$, $a_{0}(980)rightarrow pi^{0}eta$ with a significance of $6.5sigma$ ( $3.2sigma$ including systematic uncertainties). The product branching fraction of $J/psirightarrow pbar{p}a_{0}(980)rightarrow pbar{p}pi^{0}eta$ is measured to be $(6.8pm1.2pm1.3)times 10^{-5}$, where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. This measurement provides information on the $a_{0}$ production near threshold coupling to $pbar{p}$ and improves the understanding of the dynamics of $J/psi$ decays to four body processes.
In this paper we summarize our recent results for low energy associated charmonium production cross sections, using 1) crossing symmetry, and 2) an explicit hadronic model. These predictions are of relevance to the planned charmonium and charmonium hybrid production experiment PANDA at GSI.
