In this work, we update the constraints on tree level FCNC couplings in the framework of a theory with n isosinglet vector-like down quarks. In this context, we emphasize the sensitivity of the B -> J/psi K_S CP asymmetry to the presence of new vector-like down quarks. This CP asymmetry, together with the rare decays B -> X_{s,d} l bar{l} and K -> pi nu bar{nu} are the best options to further constrain the FCNC tree level couplings or even to point out, in the near future, the possible presence of vector-like quarks in the low energy spectrum, as suggested by GUT theories or models of large extra dimensions at the TeV scale.
We summarize a recent strategy for a global analysis of the B -> pi pi, pi K systems and rare decays. We find that the present B -> pi pi and B -> pi K data cannot be simultaneously described in the Standard Model. In a simple extension in which new
In this work we analyze a new piece present in the $Delta F = 2$ effective Lagrangian in models with extra vector-like quarks. This piece, which was not taken into account previously, is required in order to preserve gauge invariance once the unitari
We propose a 2-Higgs doublet model (2HDM) with a global non-Abelian flavor symmetry $mathcal{Q}_6timesmathcal{Z}_2$. This discrete group accounts for the observed pattern of fermion masses and mixing angles after spontaneous symmetry breaking. In thi
We present a precise lattice QCD determination of the b-quark mass, of the B and Bs decay constants and first preliminary results for the B-mesons bag parameter. Simulations are performed with Nf = 2 Wilson twisted mass fermions at four values of the
Extending previous work on this subject, we evaluate the impact of vector-like fermions at next-to-leading order accuracy in models with a massive vector leptoquark embedded in the $SU(4)times SU(3)^primetimes SU(2)_Ltimes U(1)_X$ gauge group. Vector
