We reviewed the field redefinition approach of Seeley-DeWitt expansion for the determination of Seeley-DeWitt coefficients from arXiv:1505.01156. We apply this approach to compute the first three Seeley-DeWitt coefficients for say{non-minimal} $mathcal{N}=1$ Einstein-Maxwell supergravity in four dimensions. Finally, we use the third coefficient for the computation of the logarithmic corrections to the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of non-extremal black holes following arXiv:1205.0971. We determine the logarithmic corrections for non-extremal Kerr-Newman, Kerr, Reissner-Nordstr{o}m and Schwarzschild black holes in say{non-minimal} $mathcal{N}=1$, $d=4$ Einstein-Maxwell supergravity.

We embed general solutions to 4D Einstein-Maxwell theory into $mathcal{N} geq 2$ supergravity and study quadratic fluctuations of the supergravity fields around the background. We compute one-loop quantum corrections for all fields and show that the $c$-anomaly vanishes for complete $mathcal{N}=2$ multiplets. Logarithmic corrections to the entropy of Kerr-Newman black holes are therefore universal and independent of black hole parameters.

We compute logarithmic corrections to the entropy of a magnetically charged extremal black hole in AdS4 x S7 using the quantum entropy function and discuss the possibility of matching against recently derived microscopic expressions.
We construct the microstates of near-extremal black holes in AdS_5 x S^5 as gases of defects distributed in heavy BPS operators in the dual SU(N) Yang-Mills theory. These defects describe open strings on spherical D3-branes in the S^5, and we show th at they dominate the entropy by directly enumerating them and comparing the results with a partition sum calculation. We display new decoupling limits in which the field theory of the lightest open strings on the D-branes becomes dual to a near-horizon region of the black hole geometry. In the single-charge black hole we find evidence for an infrared duality between SU(N) Yang-Mills theories that exchanges the rank of the gauge group with an R-charge. In the two-charge case (where pairs of branes intersect on a line), the decoupled geometry includes an AdS_3 factor with a two-dimensional CFT dual. The degeneracy in this CFT accounts for the black hole entropy. In the three-charge case (where triples of branes intersect at a point), the decoupled geometry contains an AdS_2 factor. Below a certain critical mass, the two-charge system displays solutions with naked timelike singularities even though they do not violate a BPS bound. We suggest a string theoretic resolution of these singularities.

We use the entropy function formalism introduced by A. Sen to obtain the entropy of $AdS_{2}times S^{d-2}$ extremal and static black holes in four and five dimensions, with higher derivative terms of a general type. Starting from a generalized Einste in--Maxwell action with nonzero cosmological constant, we examine all possible scalar invariants that can be formed from the complete set of Riemann invariants (up to order 10 in derivatives). The resulting entropies show the deviation from the well known Bekenstein--Hawking area law $S=A/4G$ for Einsteins gravity up to second order derivatives.
We solve the Wess-Zumino consistency conditions of $mathcal{N}=1$ off-shell conformal supergravity in four dimensions and determine the general form of the superconformal anomalies for arbitrary $a$ and $c$ anomaly coefficients to leading non trivial order in the gravitino. Besides the well known Weyl and $R$-symmetry anomalies, we compute explicitly the fermionic $mathcal{Q}$- and $mathcal{S}$-supersymmetry anomalies. In particular, we show that $mathcal{Q}$-supersymmetry is anomalous if and only if $R$-symmetry is anomalous. The $mathcal{Q}$- and $mathcal{S}$-supersymmetry anomalies give rise to an anomalous supersymmetry transformation for the supercurrent on curved backgrounds admitting Killing spinors, resulting in a deformed rigid supersymmetry algebra. Our results may have implications for supersymmetric localization and supersymmetry phenomenology. Analogous results are expected to hold in dimensions two and six and for other supergravity theories. The present analysis of the Wess-Zumino consistency conditions reproduces the holographic result of arxiv:1703.04299 and generalizes it to arbitrary $a$ and $c$ anomaly coefficients.
