Informed by a quantum information perspective, we interpret cosmological expansion of space as growing entanglement between underlying degrees of freedom. In particular, we focus on inflationary cosmology, which, while being a successful empirical paradigm for early universe physics, is riddled with ambiguities when one traces its quantum mechanical origins. We show, by deriving a modified cosmological continuity equation, that by properly accounting for new degrees of freedom being added to space by quantum entanglement, inflation can naturally be driven by quantum mechanics without having to resort to novel, unknown physics. While we explicitly focus on inflation in our discussion, we expect this approach to have possible broad implications for cosmology and quantum gravity.

We present a possible understanding to the issues of cosmological constant, inflation, matter and coincidence problems based only on the Einstein equation and Hawking particle production. The inflation appears and results agree to observations. The C MB large-scale anomaly can be explained and the dark-matter acoustic wave is speculated. The entropy and reheating are discussed. The cosmological term $Omega_{_Lambda}$ tracks down the matter $Omega_{_M}$ until the radiation-matter equilibrium, then slowly varies, thus the cosmic coincidence problem can be avoided. The relation between $Omega_{_Lambda}$ and $Omega_{_M}$ is shown and can be examined at large redshifts.
We propose a model of cosmological evolution of the early and late Universe which is consistent with observational data and naturally explains the origin of inflation and dark energy. We show that the de Sitter accelerated expansion of the FLRW space with no matter fields (hereinafter, empty space) is its natural state, and the model does not require either a scalar field or cosmological constant or any other hypotheses. This is due to the fact that the de Sitter state is an exact solution of the rigorous mathematically consistent equations of one-loop quantum gravity for the empty FLRW space that are finite off the mass shell. Space without matter fields is not empty, as it always has the natural quantum fluctuations of the metric, i.e. gravitons. Therefore, the empty (in this sense) space is filled with gravitons, which have the backreaction effect on its evolution over time forming a self-consistent de Sitter instanton leading to the exponentially accelerated expansion of the Universe. At the start and the end of cosmological evolution, the Universe is assumed to be empty, which explains the origin of inflation and dark energy. This scenario leads to the prediction that the signs of the parameter 1+w should be opposite in both cases, and this fact is consistent with observations. The fluctuations of the number of gravitons lead to fluctuations of their energy density which in turn leads to the observed CMB temperature anisotropy of the order of 10^-5 and CMB polarization. In the frame of this scenario, it is not a hypothetical scalar field that generates inflation and relic gravitational waves but on the contrary, the gravitational waves (gravitons) generate dark energy, inflation, CMB anisotropy and polarization.
Species diversity in ecosystems is often accompanied by the self-organisation of the population into fascinating spatio-temporal patterns. Here, we consider a two-dimensional three-species population model and study the spiralling patterns arising fr om the combined effects of generic cyclic dominance, mutation, pair-exchange and hopping of the individuals. The dynamics is characterised by nonlinear mobility and a Hopf bifurcation around which the systems phase diagram is inferred from the underlying complex Ginzburg-Landau equation derived using a perturbative multiscale expansion. While the dynamics is generally characterised by spiralling patterns, we show that spiral waves are stable in only one of the four phases. Furthermore, we characterise a phase where nonlinearity leads to the annihilation of spirals and to the spatially uniform dominance of each species in turn. Away from the Hopf bifurcation, when the coexistence fixed point is unstable, the spiralling patterns are also affected by nonlinear diffusion.

In the history of cosmology physical paradoxes played important role for development of contemporary world models. Within the modern standard cosmological model there are both observational and conceptual cosmological paradoxes which stimulate to sea rch their solution. Confrontation of theoretical predictions of the standard cosmological model with the latest astrophysical observational data is considered. A review of conceptual problems of the Friedmann space expending models, which are in the bases of modern cosmological model, is discussed. The main paradoxes, which are discussed in modern literature, are the Newtonian character of the exact Friedmann equation, the violation of the energy conservation within any comoving local volume, violation of the limiting recession velocity of galaxies for the observed high redshift objects. Possible observational tests of the nature of the cosmological redshift are discussed

The matter-antimatter asymmetry problem, corresponding to the virtual nonexistence of antimatter in the universe, is one of the greatest mysteries of cosmology. Within the framework of the Generation Model (GM) of particle physics, it is demonstrated that the matter-antimatter asymmetry problem may be understood in terms of the composite leptons and quarks of the GM. It is concluded that there is essentially no matter-antimatter asymmetry in the present universe and that the observed hydrogen-antihydrogen asymmetry may be understood in terms of statistical fluctuations associated with the complex many-body processes involved in the formation of either a hydrogen atom or an antihydrogen atom.
