A novel framework is proposed to extract near-threshold resonant states from finite-volume energy levels of lattice QCD and is applied to elucidate structures of the positive parity $D_s$. The quark model, the quark-pair-creation mechanism and $D^{(*)}K$ interaction are incorporated into the Hamiltonian effective field theory. The bare $1^+$ $cbar s$ states are almost purely given by the states with heavy-quark spin bases. The physical $D^*_{s0}(2317)$ and $D^*_{s1}(2460)$ are the mixtures of bare $cbar s$ core and $D^{(*)}K$ component, while the $D^*_{s1}(2536)$ and $D^*_{s2}(2573)$ are almost dominated by bare $cbar{s}$. Furthermore, our model reproduces the clear level crossing of the $D^*_{s1}(2536)$ with the scattering state at a finite volume.

The SX-Aurora TSUBASA PCIe accelerator card is the newest model of NECs SX architecture family. Its multi-core vector processor features a vector length of 16 kbits and interfaces with up to 48 GB of HBM2 memory in the current models, available since 2018. The compute performance is up to 2.45 TFlop/s peak in double precision, and the memory throughput is up to 1.2 TB/s peak. New models with improved performance characteristics are announced for the near future. In this contribution we discuss key aspects of the SX-Aurora and describe how we enabled the architecture in the Grid Lattice QCD framework.
We present the first calculation of coupled-channel meson-meson scattering in the isospin $=1$, $G$-parity negative sector, with channels $pi eta$, $Koverline{K}$ and $pi eta$, in a first-principles approach to QCD. From the discrete spectrum of eige nstates in three volumes extracted from lattice QCD correlation functions we determine the energy dependence of the $S$-matrix, and find that the $S$-wave features a prominent cusp-like structure in $pi eta to pi eta$ close to $Koverline{K}$ threshold coupled with a rapid turn on of amplitudes leading to the $Koverline{K}$ final-state. This behavior is traced to an $a_0(980)$-like resonance, strongly coupled to both $pi eta$ and $Koverline{K}$, which is identified with a pole in the complex energy plane, appearing on only a single unphysical Riemann sheet. Consideration of $D$-wave scattering suggests a narrow tensor resonance at higher energy.
The near threshold photo or electroproduction of heavy vector quarkonium off the proton is studied in quantum chromodynamics. Similar to the high-energy limit, the production amplitude can be factorized in terms of gluonic Generalized Parton Distribu tions and the quarkonium distribution amplitude. At the threshold, the threshold kinematics has a large skewness parameter $xi$, leading to the dominance of the spin-2 contribution over higher-spin twist-2 operators. Thus threshold production data are useful to extract the gluonic gravitational form factors, allowing studying the gluonic contributions to the quantum anomalous energy, mass radius, spin and mechanical pressure in the proton. We use the recent GlueX data on the $J/psi$ photoproduction to illustrate the potential physics impact from the high-precision data from future JLab 12 GeV and EIC physics program.
Coupled-channel $pi K$ and $eta K$ scattering amplitudes are determined by studying the finite-volume energy spectra obtained from dynamical lattice QCD calculations. Using a large basis of interpolating operators, including both those resembling a $ qbar{q}$ construction and those resembling a pair of mesons with relative momentum, a reliable excited-state spectrum can be obtained. Working at ${m_pi=391,mathrm{MeV}}$, we find a gradual increase in the $J^P=0^+$ $pi K$ phase-shift which may be identified with a broad scalar resonance that couples strongly to $pi K$ and weakly to $eta K$. The low-energy behavior of this amplitude suggests a virtual bound-state that may be related to the $kappa$ resonance. A bound state with $J^P=1^-$ is found very close to the $pi K$ threshold energy, whose coupling to the $pi K$ channel is compatible with that of the experimental $K^star(892)$. Evidence is found for a narrow resonance in $J^P=2^+$. Isospin--3/2 $pi K$ scattering is also studied and non-resonant phase-shifts spanning the whole elastic scattering region are obtained.
We propose a practical way of circumventing the sign problem in lattice QCD simulations with a theta-vacuum term. This method is the reweighting method for the QCD Lagrangian after the chiral transformation. In the Lagrangian, the P-odd mass term as a cause of the sign problem is minimized. Additionally, we investigate theta-vacuum effects on the QCD phase diagram for the realistic 2+1 flavor system, using the three-flavor Polyakov-extended Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (PNJL) model and the entanglement PNJL model as an extension of the PNJL model. The theta-vacuum effects make the chiral transition sharper. We finally investigate theta dependence of the transition temperature and compare with the result of the pure gauge lattice simulation with imaginary theta parameter.
