The off-shell anomalous chromomagnetic dipole moment of the standard model quarks ($u$, $d$, $s$, $c$ and $b$), at the $Z$ gauge boson mass scale, is computed by using the $overline{textrm{MS}}$ scheme. The numerical results disagree with all the previous predictions reported in the literature and show a discrepancy of up to two orders of magnitude in certain situations.

We note that off the quark mass shell the operators $(p_i+p_f)_mugamma_5$ and $isigma_{mu u}(p_i -p_f)^ ugamma_5$, both of which reduce to $-vec{sigma}cdotvec{E}$ in the non-relativistic limit, are no longer identical. In this paper we explore the ef fects of this difference in the contribution of these quark electric moments to hadronic electric moments.
We explore the physics of a new neutral gauge boson, ($Z^prime$), coupling to only third-generation particles with a mass near the electroweak gauge boson mass poles. A $Z^prime$ boson produced by top quarks and decaying to tau leptons is considered. With a simple search strategy inspired by existing analyses of the standard model gauge boson production in association with top quarks, we show that the Large Hadron Collider has good exclusionary power over the model parameter space of the $Z^prime$ boson even at the advent of the high-luminosity era. It is shown that the $tbar{t}Z^prime$ process allows one to place limits on right-handed top couplings with a $Z^prime$ boson that preferentially couples to third generation fermions, which are at present very weakly constrained.
The NuTeV collaboration has performed precision measurements of the ratio of neutral current to charged current cross-sections in high rate, high energy neutrino and anti-neutrino beams on a dense, primarily steel, target. The separate neutrino and a nti-neutrino beams, high statistics, and improved control of other experimental systematics, allow the determination of electroweak parameters with significantly greater precision than past neutrino-nucleon scattering experiments. Our null hypothesis test of the standard model prediction measures sin2thetaW=0.2277+/-0.0013(stat)+/-0.0009(syst), a value which is 3 sigma above the prediction. We discuss possible explanations for and implications of this discrepancy.
We analyse the associated production of Higgs and $Z$ boson via heavy-quark loops at the LHC in the Standard Model and beyond. We first review the main features of the Born $2to 2$ production, and in particular discuss the high-energy behaviour, angu lar distributions and $Z$ boson polarisation. We then consider the effects of extra QCD radiation as described by the $2 to 3$ loop matrix elements, and find that they dominate at high Higgs transverse momentum. We show how merged samples of 0-- and 1--jet multiplicities, matched to a parton shower can provide a reliable description of differential distributions in $ZH$ production. In addition to the Standard Model study, results in a generic two-Higgs-doublet-model are obtained and presented for a set of representative and experimentally viable benchmarks for $Zh^0$, $ZH^0$ and $ZA^0$ production. We observe that various interesting features appear either due to the resonant enhancement of the cross-section or to interference patterns between resonant and non-resonant contributions.
