We investigate the transverse target spin asymmetry $A^{sinphi_{S}}_{UT}$ for the unpolarized $Lambda$ production in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering with the transverse momentum of the final-state lambda hyperon being integrated out. The asymmetry is contributed by the product of the transversity distribution function $h_1(x)$ of the nucleon and the collinear twist-3 fragmentation function $tilde{H}(z)$ of the $Lambda$ hyperon. The later one originates from the quark-gluon-quark correlation and is a naive time-reversal-odd function. We calculate $tilde{H}$ of the $Lambda$ hyperon by adopt a diquark spectator model. Using the numerical result of $tilde{H}(z)$ and the available parametrization of $h_1(x)$ from SIDIS data, we predict the $sinphi_{S}$ asymmetry in the electroproduction of the $Lambda$ hyperon in the kinematical region of EIC, EicC and COMPASS. In the phenomenological analysis we include the evolution effect of the distribution functions and the fragmentation functions. The results show that the asymmetries for the $Lambda$ production SIDIS process is around 0.1 and may be accessible at EIC, EicC and COMPASS. We also find that the evolution of fragmentation function can affect the size of asymmetry.

In this paper we study the double longitudinal spin asymmetry of dihadron production in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering (SIDIS). We calculate a unknown twist-3 dihadron fragmentation function $widetilde{D}^sphericalangle$ within a spectator model which has been used successfully in describing the dihadron production in both the unpolarized and the single polarized processes. The collinear picture, in which the transverse momentum of the final state hadron pair is integrated out, has been considered. The $cosphi_R$ azimuthal asymmetry arises from the coupling $e_L H_1^sphericalangle$ and the coupling $g_1 widetilde{D}^sphericalangle$ is studied. We estimate the $cosphi_R$ asymmetry at the kinematics of COMPASS and compare with the data. The prediction at the future Electron Ion Collider (EIC) has also been presented.

We investigate the $sin (phi_Lambda-phi_S)$ single-spin asymmetry in the transversely polarized $Lambda$ production in semi-inclusive deeply inelastic scattering process within the framework of the transverse momentum dependent~(TMD) factorization. T he asymmetry is contributed by the convolution of the polarizing TMD fragmentation function $D_{1T}^perp$ of the $Lambda$ hyperon and the unpolarized TMD distribution function $f_1$ of the target nucleon. We apply two sets of $D_{1T}^{perp,Lambda^uparrow/q}$, the spectator diquark model result and available parametrization, to numerically estimate the $sin (phi_Lambda-phi_S)$ asymmetry at the kinematical region of electron ion collider (EIC). We take into account the TMD evolution effect in order to include the scale dependence of the TMD distribution functions and fragmentation functions. It is found that different sets of $D_{1T}^{perp,Lambda^uparrow/q}$ lead to different ${sin (phi_Lambda-phi_S)}$ asymmetry, particularly in sign. Future measurements on the $sin (phi_Lambda-phi_S)$ asymmetry with high precision at EIC can provide important cross check on the available $Lambda$ polarizing fragmentation functions as well as constrain them more stringently.

We calculate the single transverse-spin asymmetry for open charm production in $pp$ collisions within the QCD collinear factorization approach. We include contributions from both twist-three quark-gluon and tri-gluon correlation functions. We find th at the quark-gluon correlation functions alone generate only a very small asymmetry for open charm production in the kinematic region of current interest at RHIC, so that the observation of any significant single-spin asymmetry would be a clear indication of the presence of tri-gluon correlations inside a polarized proton. We furthermore demonstrate that the tri-gluon contribution could be very different for the production of $D$ and $bar{D}$ mesons. These features make the single spin asymmetry in open charm production in polarized $pp$ collisions at RHIC an excellent probe of tri-gluon correlation functions.
We estimate transverse single spin asymmetry (TSSA) in electroproduction of $J/psi$ for J-Lab and EIC energies. We present estimates of TSSAs in $J/psi$ production within generalized parton model (GPM) using recent parametrizations of gluon Sivers fu nction (GSF) and compare the results obtained using color singlet model (CSM) with those obtained using color evaporation model (CEM) of quarkonium production.
We estimate the target-normal single-spin asymmetry at nearly forward angles in elastic electron-nucleon scattering. In the leading-order approximation, this asymmetry is proportional to the imaginary part of the two-photon exchange (TPE) amplitude, which can be expressed as an integral over the doubly virtual Compton scattering (VVCS) tensor. We develop a model that parametrizes the VVCS tensor for the case of nearly forward scattering angles. Our parametrization ensures a proper normalization of the imaginary part of the TPE amplitude on the well-known forward limit expression, which is given in terms of nucleon structure functions measurable in inelastic electron-nucleon scattering experiments. We discuss applicability limits of our theory and provide target-normal single-spin asymmetry predictions for both elastic electron-proton and electron-neutron scattering.
