Using $2.93~mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected at a center-of-mass energy $sqrt{s}=3.773$ GeV with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, we search for the semileptonic $D^{0(+)}$ decays into a $b_1(1235)^{-(0)}$ axial-vector meson for the first time. No significant signal is observed for either charge combination. The upper limits on the product branching fractions are ${mathcal B}_{D^0to b_1(1235)^- e^+ u_e}cdot {mathcal B}_{b_1(1235)^-to omegapi^-}<1.12times 10^{-4}$ and ${mathcal B}_{D^+to b_1(1235)^0 e^+ u_e}cdot {mathcal B}_{b_1(1235)^0to omegapi^0}<1.75times 10^{-4}$ at the 90% confidence level.

We search for the rare decay $D^+to D^0 e^+ u_{e}$, using a data set with an integrated luminosity of 2.93 $rm fb^{-1}$ collected at $sqrt{s}=3.773$ GeV with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage rings. No signals are observed. We set t he upper limit on the branching fraction for $D^+to D^0 e^+ u_e$ to be $1.0times 10^{-4}$ at the 90% confidence level.
Using an $e^+e^-$ collision data sample of 2.93 fb$^{-1}$ collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV by the BESIII detector at BEPCII, we report the observation of $D^0 to a_0(980)^- e^+ u_e$ and evidence for $D^+ to a_0(980)^0 e^+ u_e~$ wit h significances of $6.4sigma$ and $2.9sigma$, respectively. The absolute branching fractions are determined to be $mathcal{B}(D^0 to a_0(980)^- e^+ u_e)timesmathcal{B}(a_0(980)^- to eta pi^-) = (1.33_{-0.29}^{+0.33}({rm stat})pm0.09({rm syst}))times10^{-4}~$ and $mathcal{B}(D^+ to a_0(980)^0 e^+ u_e)timesmathcal{B}(a_0(980)^0 to eta pi^0) = (1.66_{-0.66}^{+0.81}({rm stat})pm0.11({rm syst}))times10^{-4}~$. An upper limit of $mathcal{B}(D^+ to a_0(980)^0 e^+ u_e)timesmathcal{B}(a_0(980)^0 to eta pi^0)<3.0times10^{-4}~$ is also determined at the $90%~$ confidence level.
A search for $B_s^0 to overline{D}^{0} f_{0}(980)$ decays is performed using $3.0, {rm fb}^{-1}$ of $pp$ collision data recorded by the LHCb experiment during 2011 and 2012. The $f_{0}(980)$ meson is reconstructed through its decay to the $pi^{+}pi^{ -}$ final state in the mass window $900, {rm MeV}/c^{2} < m(pi^{+}pi^{-}) < 1080, {rm MeV}/c^{2}$. No significant signal is observed. The first upper limits on the branching fraction of $mathcal{B}(B_s^0 to overline{D}^{0} f_{0}(980)) < 3.1,(3.4) times 10^{-6}$ are set at $90,%$ ($95,%$) confidence level.
Using $(10.087pm0.044)times10^{9}$ $J/psi$ events collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we search for the hyperon semileptonic decay $Xi^{-} rightarrow Xi^{0} e^{-} bar{ u}_{e}$. No significant signal is observed and the upper limi t on the branching fraction $mathcal B(Xi^{-} rightarrow Xi^{0} e^{-} bar{ u}_{e})$ is set to be $2.59times10^{-4}$ at 90 % confidence level. This result is one order of magnitude more strict than the previous best limit.
Using a sample of 1.8 million DDbar meson pairs collected at the psi(3770) with the CLEO-c detector, we study the semileptonic decays D^0 -> pi^- e^+ nu_e, D^+ -> pi^0 e^+ u_e, D^0 -> K^- e^+ u_e, and D^+ -> Kbar^0 e^+ nu_e. For the total branching fractions we find B(D^0 -> pi^- e^+ u_e) = 0.299(11)(9)%, B(D^+ -> pi^0 e^+ u_e) = 0.373(22)(13)%, B(D^0 -> K^- e^+ nu_e) = 3.56(3)(9)%, and B(D^+ -> Kbar^0 e^+ nu_e) = 8.53(13)(23)%, where the first error is statistical and the second systematic. In addition, form factors are studied through fits to the partial branching fractions obtained in five q^2 ranges. By combining our results with recent unquenched lattice calculations, we obtain |Vcd| = 0.217(9)(4)(23) and |Vcs| = 1.015(10)(11)(106), where the final error is theoretical.
