We point out a misleading treatment and incorrect expressions in a recent paper published in this Journal [Eur. Phys. J. C (2019) 79: 541] regarding solutions for the Dirac equation in presence of scalar and vector potentials in a class of flat Godel-type space-time called Som-Raychaudhuri space-time. Following the appropriate procedure we obtain the solution for this system.

The Pauli--Villars regularization procedure confirms and sharpens the conclusions reached previously by covariant point splitting. The divergences in the stress tensor of a quantized scalar field interacting with a static scalar potential are isolate d into a three-parameter local, covariant functional of the background potential. These divergences can be naturally absorbed into coupling constants of the potential, regarded as a dynamical object in its own right; here this is demonstrated in detail for two different models of the field-potential coupling. here is a residual dependence on the logarithm of the potential, reminiscent of the renormalization group in fully interacting quantum field theories; these terms are finite but numerically dependent on an arbitrary mass or length parameter, which is purely a matter of convention. This work is one step in a program to elucidate boundary divergences by replacing a sharp boundary by a steeply rising smooth potential.
Recently in the framework of a two-loop order calculation for an effective field theory of scalar and vector fields interacting with the metric field we have shown that for the cosmological constant term which is fixed by the condition of vanishing v acuum energy the graviton remains massless and there exists a self-consistent effective field theory of general relativity defined on a flat Minkowski background. In the current paper we extend the two-loop analysis for an effective field theory of fermions interacting with the gravitational field and obtain an analogous result. We also address the issues of fine tuning of the strong interaction contribution to the vacuum energy and the compatibility of chiral symmetry in the light quark sector with the consistency of the effective field theory of general relativity in a flat Minkowski background.
In this work quantum physics in noncommutative spacetime is developed. It is based on the work of Doplicher et al. which allows for time-space noncommutativity. The Moyal plane is treated in detail. In the context of noncommutative quantum mechanics, some important points are explored, such as the formal construction of the theory, symmetries, causality, simultaneity and observables. The dynamics generated by a noncommutative Schrodinger equation is studied. We prove in particular the following: suppose the Hamiltonian of a quantum mechanical particle on spacetime has no explicit time dependence, and the spatial coordinates commute in its noncommutative form (the only noncommutativity being between time and a space coordinate). Then the commutative and noncommutati
We have studied the induced one-loop energy-momentum tensor of a massive complex scalar field within the framework of nonperturbative quantum electrodynamics (QED) with a uniform electric field background on the Poincare patch of the two-dimensional de Sitter spacetime ($mathrm{dS_{2}}$). We also consider a direct coupling the scalar field to the Ricci scalar curvature which is parameterized by an arbitrary dimensionless nonminimal coupling constant. We evaluate the trace anomaly of the induced energy-momentum tensor. We show that our results for the induced energy-momentum tensor in the zero electric field case, and the trace anomaly are in agreement with the existing literature. Furthermore, we construct the one-loop effective Lagrangian from the induced energy-momentum tensor.
The relativistic quantum motion of scalar bosons under the influence of a full vector (minimal $A^{mu}$ and nonminimal $X^{mu}$) and scalar ($V_{s}$) interactions embedded in the background of a cosmic string is explored in the context of the Klein-G ordon equation. Considering Coulomb interactions, the effects of this topological defect in equation of motion, phase shift and S-matrix are analyzed and discussed. Bound-state solutions are obtained from poles of the S-matrix and it is shown that bound-state solutions are possible only for a restrict range of coupling constants.
