NLOX is a computer program for calculations in high-energy particle physics. It provides fully renormalized scattering matrix elements in the Standard Model of particle physics, up to one-loop accuracy for all possible coupling-power combinations in the strong and electroweak couplings, and for processes with up to six external particles.
We describe the 1.2 update to NLOX, a computer program for calculations in high-energy particle physics. New features since the 1.0 release and other changes are described, along with usage documentation.
Strategy and results for complete one-loop computations in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model are reviewed, with applications to the calculation of SUSY mass spectra and SUSY-particle processes. Determination of renormalization constants and c
ounterterms are described in the on-shell renormalization scheme, and a translation between $bar{rm DR}$ and on-shell parameters is given. As an example, cross sections for chargino and neutralino pair production in $e^+e^-$ annihilation are presented, complete at the one-loop level.
We present the version 2.0 of the program package GoSam for the automated calculation of one-loop amplitudes. GoSam is devised to compute one-loop QCD and/or electroweak corrections to multi-particle processes within and beyond the Standard Model. Th
e new code contains improvements in the generation and in the reduction of the amplitudes, performs better in computing time and numerical accuracy, and has an extended range of applicability. The extended version of the Binoth-Les-Houches-Accord interface to Monte Carlo programs is also implemented. We give a detailed description of installation and usage of the code, and illustrate the new features in dedicated examples.
Neutrino oscillation experiments are known to be sensitive to Non-Standard Interactions (NSIs). We extend the NSI formalism to include one-loop effects. We discuss universal effects induced by corrections to the tree level W exchange, as well as non-
universal effects that can arise from scalar charged current interactions. We show how the parameters that can be extracted from the experiments are obtained from various loop amplitudes, which include vertex corrections, wave function renormalizations, mass corrections as well as box diagrams. As an illustrative example, we discuss NSIs at one loop in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with generic lepton flavor violating sources in the soft sector. We argue that the size of one-loop NSIs can be large enough to be probed in future neutrino oscillation experiments.
Many highly developed Monte Carlo tools for the evaluation of cross sections based on tree matrix elements exist and are used by experimental collaborations in high energy physics. As the evaluation of one-loop matrix elements has recently been under
going enormous progress, the combination of one-loop matrix elements with existing Monte Carlo tools is on the horizon. This would lead to phenomenological predictions at the next-to-leading order level. This note summarises the discussion of the next-to-leading order multi-leg (NLM) working group on this issue which has been taking place during the workshop on Physics at TeV colliders at Les Houches, France, in June 2009. The result is a proposal for a standard interface between Monte Carlo tools and one-loop matrix element programs.
