The Dirac leptonic CP phase {delta}_CP is one of the crucial unknown parameters in neutrino oscillation physics. In this paper we explore the possibility of using low energy atmospheric neutrino events to probe {delta}_CP . We show that at sub GeV energies, when the events are binned as a function of the energy and direction of the final state leptons, a consistent distinction between various true {delta}_CP values is obtained. We also show that at these energies there is no sensitivity to the mass ordering/hierarchy, so that {delta}_CP can be measured without hierarchy ambiguity. In addition a preliminary c{hi}^2 analysis of the sensitivity to {delta}_CP using atmospheric neutrinos assuming a generic detector with perfect separation between charged current { u}_{mu} , bar{{ u}}_{mu} , { u}_e and bar{{ u}}_e events is given.

We show that the measurements of 10 GeV atmospheric neutrinos by an upcoming array of densely packed phototubes buried deep inside the IceCube detector at the South Pole can be used to determine the neutrino mass hierarchy for values of sin^2(2theta1 3) close to the present bound, if the hierarchy is normal. These results are obtained for an exposure of 100 Mton years and systematic uncertainties up to 10%.
The effect of the higher-energy 2nd resonance and the associated adiabatic-to-nonadiabatic transition on neutrino propagation in solar matter is presented. For WIMP-annihilation neutrinos injected with energies in the sweet region between 300 MeV and 10 GeV at the Suns center, a significant and revealing dependence on the neutrino mass hierarchy and the mixing angle theta_13 down to 0.5 degrees is found in the flavor ratios arriving at Earth. In addition, the amplification of flavor ratios in the sweet region allows a better discrimination among possible annihilation modes of the solar dark matter. Under mild assumptions on WIMP properties, it is estimated that 200 neutrino events in the sweet region would be required for inferences of theta_13, the mass hierarchy, and the dominant WIMP annihilation mode. Future large-volume, low-energy neutrino detectors are likely needed if the measurement is to be made.
Precision measurement of the neutrino mixing parameters and the determination of mass hierarchy are the primary goals of the present and upcoming neutrino experiments. In this work, we study the sensitivity of T2K,NO$ u$A and LBNE experiments to disc over leptonic CP violation and the determination of neutrino mass hierarchy. We obtain the correlation between the CP violating phase $delta_{CP}$ and the mixing angles $theta_{13}$, $theta_{23}$ and the sensitivity to determine the octant of atmospheric mixing angle $theta_{23}$. The entire analysis is done for a total 10 years (5$ u$+ 5$bar u$) of running of T2K, NO$ u$A and LBNE experiments. Furthermore, we also consider the impact of cross section uncertainties on the CP violation sensitivity of LBNE experiment.

We review how a high-statistics observation of the neutrino signal from a future galactic core-collapse supernova (SN) may be used to discriminate between different neutrino mixing scenarios. Most SN neutrinos are emitted in the accretion and cooling phase, during which the flavor-dependent differences of the emitted neutrino spectra are small and rather uncertain. Therefore the discrimination between neutrino mixing scenarios using these neutrinos should rely on observables independent of the SN neutrino spectra. We discuss two complementary methods that allow for the positive identification of the mass hierarchy without knowledge of the emitted neutrino fluxes, provided that the 13-mixing angle is large, $sin^2theta_{13}gg 10^{-5}$. These two approaches are the observation of modulations in the neutrino spectra by Earth matter effects or by the passage of shock waves through the SN envelope. If the value of the 13-mixing angle is unknown, using additionally the information encoded in the prompt neutronization $ u_e$ burst--a robust feature found in all modern SN simulations--can be sufficient to fix both the neutrino hierarchy and to decide whether $theta_{13}$ is ``small or ``large.

Neutrino-antineutrino conversion is an important new physics process. The observation of this phenomenon could indicate total lepton number violation and potential CPT-violation. Searching for the appearance of electron antineutrinos from solar neutr inos from $rm^8B$ decay allows us to hunt for this rare process, although it can also be explained by other mechanisms or hypotheses. This analysis examines the capabilities of observing neutrino-antineutrino transition from $rm^8B$ unoscillated solar neutrinos using different liquid scintillator detector configurations. High energy reactor neutrinos and atmospheric neutrinos are the two dominant background sources. Large volume liquid scintillator detectors with deep underground shielding, placed far away from reactors and with capabilities of pulse shaped discrimination will significantly increase the search sensitivity. It is demonstrated that for the next generation of large liquid scintillator detectors being planned or under construction, the sensitivity to the average probability of neutrino-antineutrino transitions can reach $10^{-6}$, which is an order of magnitude better than the current best experimental limits.
