In some extensions of the Standard Model, Yukawa couplings of the physical Higgs boson can be deviated from those in the Standard Model. We study a possibility whether or not such anomalous Yukawa couplings are consistent with the LHC Run 1 data. It is found that sizable deviations of top and bottom (and tau) Yukawa couplings from the Standard Model predictions can nicely fit the data. New physics beyond the Standard Model can be revealed through more precise measurements of such anomalous Yukawa couplings at the LHC Run 2 in the near future. We also discuss a simple setup which can leads to anomalous Yukawa couplings.

Very recently, the CMS collaboration has reported a search for the production for a Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson in association with a top quark pair ($t bar{t} H$) at the LHC Run-2 and a best fit $t bar{t} H$ yield of $1.5 pm 0.5$ times the SM pr ediction with an observed significance of $3.3 sigma$. We study a possibility of whether or not this observed deviation can be explained by anomalous Higgs Yukawa couplings with the top and the bottom quarks, along with the LHC Run-1 data for the Higgs boson properties. We find that anomalous top and bottom Yukawa couplings with about $0-20$% and $10-40$% reductions from their SM values, respectively, can simultaneously fit the recent CMS result and the LHC Run-1 data.
We study the T odd correlations induced by CP violating anomalous top-quark couplings at both production and decay level in the process gg --> t t_bar --> (b mu+ nu_mu) (b_bar mu- nu_mu_bar). We consider several counting asymmetries at the parton lev el and find the ones with the most sensitivity to each of these anomalous couplings at the LHC.
Many theories beyond the Standard Model predict the existence of colored scalar states, known as sgluons, lying in the adjoint representation of the QCD gauge group. In scenarios where they are top-philic, sgluons are expected to be copiously pair-pr oduced at the LHC via strong interactions with decays into pairs of top quarks or gluons. Consequently, sgluons can be sought in multijet and multitop events at the LHC. We revisit two LHC Run I analyses in which events featuring either the same-sign dileptonic decay of a four-top-quark system or its single leptonic decay are probed. Adopting a simplified model approach, we show how this reinterpretation allows us to extract simultaneous bounds on the sgluon mass and couplings.
We extend the already existing two-loop calculation of the effective bottom-Yukawa coupling in the MSSM. In addition to the resummation of the dominant corrections for large values of tg$beta$, we include the subleading terms related to the trilinear Higgs coupling $A_b$ and contributions induced by the electroweak gauge couplings. This calculation has been extended to the NNLO corrections to the MSSM strange-Yukawa coupling. Our analysis leads to residual theoretical uncertainties of the effective Yukawa couplings at the per-cent level.
The Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson, with its experimental discovery in 2012, has long been an interesting particle to study with the intention of exploring new physics ideas beyond the SM (BSM). Its properties are still not well understood, and ther e are several features in LHC Run 1 and Run 2 data which point at the possibility of extensions to the SM Higgs sector. This work explores the Madala hypothesis, which is the introduction of a heavy scalar (the Madala boson) to the SM, in addition to a real scalar $S$ and dark matter (DM) candidate $chi$. This hypothesis has previously been used to explain several anomalous features observe in the LHC Run 1 data. This work extends the study to Run 2 data, and shows that the particle spectrum predicted in the Madala hypothesis is indeed compatible with LHC data. Further study prospects and striking signatures for searches are presented.
