We developed a highly integrated and versatile electronic module to equip small nuclear physics experiments and lab teaching classes: the User friendly Configurable Trigger, scaler and delay Module for nuclear and particle physics (UCTM). It is configurable through a Graphical User Interface (GUI) and provides a large number of possible trigger conditions without any Hardware Description Language (HDL) required knowledge. This new version significantly enhances the previous capabilities by providing two additional features: signal digitization and time measurements. The design, performances and a typical application are presented.

A configurable trigger scaler and delay NIM module has been designed to equip nuclear physics experiments and lab teaching classes. It is configurable through a Graphical User Interface (GUI) and provides a large number of possible trigger conditions without any Hardware Description Language (HDL) required knowledge. The design, performances and typical applications are presented.
Production of a GeV photon beam by laser backward-Compton scattering has been playing an important role as a tool for nuclear and particle physics experiments. Its production techniques are now established at electron storage rings, which are increas ing worldwide. A typical photon intensity has reached $sim$ 10 $^6$ sec$^{-1}$. In the present article, the LEPS beamline facility at SPring-8 is mainly described with an overview of experimental applications, for the purpose to summarize the GeV photon beam production. Finally, possible future upgrades are discussed with new developments of laser injection.
Modern gas detectors for detection of particles require F-based gases for optimal performance. Recent regulations demand the use of environmentally unfriendly F-based gases to be limited or banned. This review studies properties of potential eco-friendly gas candidate replacements.
An experiment to measure an invariant mass of {phi} mesons in nuclear medium is planned as the J-PARC E16 experiment. A trigger merging module (TRG-MRG) has been developed to detect leading-edges from 256 channels of discriminator-output signals and transmit those serialized hit data to trigger decision module with four optical links. The result of the test shows enough performance of the TRG-MRG as 1 ns TDC and data multiplexer with four 6.25 Gbps transceivers.
NaNet is an FPGA-based PCIe X8 Gen2 NIC supporting 1/10 GbE links and the custom 34 Gbps APElink channel. The design has GPUDirect RDMA capabilities and features a network stack protocol offloading module, making it suitable for building low-latency, real-time GPU-based computing systems. We provide a detailed description of the NaNet hardware modular architecture. Benchmarks for latency and bandwidth for GbE and APElink channels are presented, followed by a performance analysis on the case study of the GPU-based low level trigger for the RICH detector in the NA62 CERN experiment, using either the NaNet GbE and APElink channels. Finally, we give an outline of project future activities.
