We study the decays of the charmonium resonances $J/psi$ and $psi(3686)$ to the final states $Xi^{-}barXi^{+}$, $Sigma(1385)^{mp}barSigma(1385)^{pm}$ based on a single baryon tag method using data samples of $(223.7 pm 1.4) times 10^{6}$ $J/psi$ and $(106.4 pm 0.9) times 10^{6}$ $psi(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. Additionally, the ratios $frac{{cal{B}}(psi(3686)rightarrowXi^{-}barXi^{+})}{{cal{B}}(J/psirightarrowXi^{-}barXi^{+})}$, $frac{{cal{B}}(psi(3686)rightarrowSigma(1385)^{-}barSigma(1385)^{+})}{{cal{B}}(J/psirightarrowSigma(1385)^{-}barSigma(1385)^{+})}$ and $frac{{cal{B}}(psi(3686)rightarrowSigma(1385)^{+}barSigma(1385)^{-})}{{cal{B}}(J/psirightarrowSigma(1385)^{+}barSigma(1385)^{-})}$ are determined.

We study the decays of $J/psi$ and $psi(3686)$ to the final states $Sigma(1385)^{0}barSigma(1385)^{0}$ and $Xi^0barXi^{0}$ based on a single baryon tag method using data samples of $(1310.6 pm 7.0) times 10^{6}$ $J/psi$ and $(447.9 pm 2.9) times 10^{ 6}$ $psi(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The decays to $Sigma(1385)^{0}barSigma(1385)^{0}$ are observed for the first time. The measured branching fractions of $J/psi$ and $psi(3686)rightarrowXi^0barXi^{0}$ are in good agreement with, and much more precise, than the previously published results. The angular parameters for these decays are also measured for the first time. The measured angular decay parameter for $J/psirightarrowSigma(1385)^{0}barSigma(1385)^{0}$, $alpha =-0.64 pm 0.03 pm 0.10$, is found to be negative, different to the other decay processes in this measurement. In addition, the 12% rule and isospin symmetry in the $J/psi$ and $psi(3686)rightarrowXibarXi$ and $Sigma(1385)bar{Sigma}(1385)$ systems are tested.
Large samples of Lambda, Sigma(1385) and Xi(1321) hyperons produced in deep-inelastic muon scattering off a ^6LiD target were collected with the COMPASS experimental setup at CERN. The relative yields of Sigma(1385)^+, Sigma(1385)^-, bar{Sigma}(1385) ^-, bar{Sigma}(1385)^+, Xi(1321)^-, and bar{Xi}(1321)^+ hyperons decaying into Lambda(bar{Lambda})pi were measured. The heavy hyperon to Lambda and heavy antihyperon to bar{Lambda} yield ratios were found to be in the range 3.8% to 5.6% with a relative uncertainty of about 10%. They were used to tune the parameters relevant for strange particle production of the LEPTO Monte Carlo generator.
Using $1310.6times10^6$ $J/psi$ and $447.9times10^6$ $psi(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider, the branching fractions and the angular distributions of $J/psi$ and $psi(3686)$ decays to $Lambdabar{Lamb da}$ and $Sigma^0bar{Sigma}^0$ final states are measured. The branching fractions are in agreement with, and much more precise than, the averages of previously published results. The polar angular distributions of $psi(3686)$ decays are measured for the first time, while those of $J/psi$ decays are measured with much improved precision. In addition, the ratios of branching fractions $frac{mathcal{B}(psi(3686)toLambdabar{Lambda})}{mathcal{B}(J/psitoLambdabar{Lambda})}$ and $frac{mathcal{B}(psi(3686)toSigma^0bar{Sigma}^0)}{mathcal{B}(J/psitoSigma^0bar{Sigma}^0)}$ are determined to test the 12% rule.
Using 448.1 $times$ $10^{6}$ $psi(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector at BEPCII, we employ a single-baryon tagging technique to make the first observation of $psi(3686)rightarrowXi(1530)^{-}barXi(1530)^{+}$ and $Xi(1530)^{-}barXi^{+}$ de cays with a statistical significance of more than 10$sigma$ and 5.0$sigma$, respectively. The branching fractions are measured to be $cal{B}$$[psi(3686)rightarrowXi(1530)^{-}barXi(1530)^{+}] $ = (11.45 $pm$ 0.40 $pm$ 0.59) $times$ $10^{-5}$ and $cal{B}$$[psi(3686)rightarrowXi(1530)^{-}barXi^{+}]$ = (0.70 $pm$ 0.11 $pm$ 0.04) $times$ $10^{-5}$. The angular distribution parameter for $psi(3686)rightarrowXi(1530)^{-}barXi(1530)^{+}$ is determined to be $alpha$ = 0.40 $pm$ 0.24 $pm$ 0.06, which agrees with the theoretical predictions within 1$sigma$. The first uncertainties are statistical, and the second systematic.
The electromagnetic decays of the Sig0(1385) and Lambda(1520) hyperons were studied in photon-induced reactions gamma p -> K+ Lambda(1116)gamma in the CLAS detector at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility. We report the first observatio n of the radiative decay of the Sig0(1385) and a measurement of the Lambda(1520) radiative decay width. For the Sig0(1385) -> Lambda(1116)gamma transition, we measured a partial width of 479+/-120(stat)+81-100(sys) keV, larger than all of the existing model predictions. For the Lambda(1520) -> Lambda(1116)gamma transition, we obtained a partial width of 167+/-43(stat)+26-12(sys) keV.
