We present the summary of the working group on $B$ mixing and the related CP violation at the CKM 2014 workshop. The contributions reflect the experimental and theoretical progress in the field over the last two years since the last CKM workshop.
In recent years charm physics has undergone a renaissance, one which has been catalysed by an unexpected and impressive set of experimental results from the $B$-factories, the Tevatron and LHCb. The existence of $D^0bar{D}{}^0$ oscillations is now we
ll established, and the recent discovery of $CP$ violation in $D^0$ decays has further renewed interest in the charm sector. In this article we review the current status of charm-mixing and $CP$-violation measurements, and assess their agreement with theoretical predictions within the Standard Model and beyond. We look forward to the great improvements in experimental precision that can be expected over the coming two decades, and the prospects for corresponding advances in theoretical understanding.
We present a brief review of CPV and mixing measurements in the charm sector, with emphasys in results published or presented since the previous edition of the Physics in Collision Symposia.
The 10$^{rm th}$ International Workshop on the CKM Unitary Triangle took place at the University of Heidelberg on September 17$^{rm th}$-21$^{rm st}$, 2018. In this write-up, we summarize the material discussed at the workshop by the Working Group 7,
which focused on latest experimental results and theoretical developments in the study of mixing and $CP$ violation in the neutral $D$ system, and of $CP$ violation and decay properties of other charm mesons and baryons.
The prospects of measuring the leptonic angles and CP-odd phases at a neutrino factory are discussed in two scenarios: 1) three active neutrinos as indicated by the present ensemble of atmospheric plus solar data; 2) three active plus one sterile neu
trino when the LSND signal is also taken into account. For the latter we develop one and two mass dominance approximations. The appearance of wrong sign muons in long baseline experiments and tau leptons in short baseline ones provides the best tests of CP-violation in scenarios 1) and 2), respectively.
The phenomenon of mixing in neutral meson systems has now been observed in all flavours, but only in the past year in the D0 system. The standard model anticipated that, for the charm sector, the mixing rate would be small, and also that CP violation
, either in mixing or in direct decay, would be below the present levels of observability. It is hoped that further study of these phenomena might reveal signs of new physics. A review of recently available, experimental results is given.
