A joint measurement is presented of the branching fractions $B^0_stomu^+mu^-$ and $B^0tomu^+mu^-$ in proton-proton collisions at the LHC by the CMS and LHCb experiments. The data samples were collected in 2011 at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV, and in 2012 at 8 TeV. The combined analysis produces the first observation of the $B^0_stomu^+mu^-$ decay, with a statistical significance exceeding six standard deviations, and the best measurement of its branching fraction so far. Furthermore, evidence for the $B^0tomu^+mu^-$ decay is obtained with a statistical significance of three standard deviations. The branching fraction measurements are statistically compatible with SM predictions and impose stringent constraints on several theories beyond the SM.

A search for the rare decay $Sigma^+ to p mu^+ mu^-$ is performed using $pp$ collision data recorded by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies $sqrt{s} = 7$ and $8$ TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3 fb^{-1}$. An excess of e vents is observed with respect to the background expectations with a signal significance of 4.0 standard deviations. No significant structure is observed in the dimuon invariant mass distribution.
A discovery of the rare decay $B^{+} rightarrow pi^{+} mu^{+} mu^{-}$ is presented. This decay is observed for the first time, with 5.2 $sigma$ significance. The observation is made using $pp$ collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb$^{-1}$, collected with the LHCb detector. The measured branching fraction is (2.3 $pm$ 0.6 (stat.) $pm$ 0.1 (syst.))$times 10^{-8}$, and the ratio of the $B^{+} rightarrow pi^{+} mu^{+} mu^{-}$ and $B^{+} rightarrow K^{+} mu^{+} mu^{-}$ branching fractions is measured to be 0.053 $pm$ 0.014 (stat.) $pm$ 0.001 (syst.).
A search for the rare leptonic decay $B^{+} rightarrow {mu}^{+}{mu}^{-}{mu}^{+}{ u}_{{mu}}$ is performed using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $4.7$ fb$^{-1}$ collected by the LHCb experiment. The search is c arried out in the region where the lowest of the two ${mu}^{+}{mu}^{-}$ mass combinations is below $980$MeV/c$^{2}$. The data are consistent with the background-only hypothesis and an upper limit of $1.6 times 10^{-8}$ at 95% confidence level is set on the branching fraction in the stated kinematic region.
A search for the rare decays $B^0_s tomu^+mu^-$ and $B^0 tomu^+mu^-$ is performed at the LHCb experiment. The data analysed correspond to an integrated luminosity of 1 fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV and 2 fb$^{-1}$ a t 8 TeV. An excess of $B^0_s tomu^+mu^-$ signal candidates with respect to the background expectation is seen with a significance of 4.0 standard deviations. A time-integrated branching fraction of ${cal B}(B^0_s tomu^+mu^-) = (2.9^{+1.1}_{-1.0})times 10^{-9}$ is obtained and an upper limit of ${cal B}(B^0 tomu^+mu^-) < 7.4times 10^{-10}$ at 95% confidence level is set. These results are consistent with the Standard Model expectations.
