Differential inclusive-jet cross sections have been measured in photoproduction for boson virtualities Q^2 < 1 GeV^2 with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of 300 pb^-1. Jets were identified in the laboratory frame using the k_T, anti-k_T or SIScone jet algorithms. Cross sections are presented as functions of the jet pseudorapidity, eta(jet), and the jet transverse energy, E_T(jet). Next-to-leading-order QCD calculations give a good description of the measurements, except for jets with low E_T(jet) and high eta(jet). The cross sections have the potential to improve the determination of the PDFs in future QCD fits. Values of alpha_s(M_Z) have been extracted from the measurements based on different jet algorithms. In addition, the energy-scale dependence of the strong coupling was determined.

We report the first measurements of transverse single-spin asymmetries for inclusive jet and jet + $pi^{pm}$ production at midrapidity from transversely polarized proton-proton collisions at $sqrt{s} = 500$ GeV. The data were collected in 2011 with t he STAR detector sampled from 23 pb$^{-1}$ integrated luminosity with an average beam polarization of 53%. Asymmetries are reported for jets with transverse momenta $6 < p_{T, jet} < 55$ GeV/c and pseudorapidity $|eta| < 1$. Presented are measurements of the inclusive-jet azimuthal transverse single-spin asymmetry, sensitive to twist-3 initial-state quark-gluon correlators; the Collins asymmetry, sensitive to quark transversity coupled to the polarized Collins fragmentation function; and the first measurement of the Collins-like asymmetry, sensitive to linearly polarized gluons. Within the present statistical precision, inclusive-jet and Collins-like asymmetries are small, with the latter allowing the first experimental constraints on gluon linear polarization in a polarized proton. At higher values of jet transverse momenta, we observe the first non-zero Collins asymmetries in polarized-proton collisions, with a statistical significance of greater than $5sigma$. The results span a range of x similar to results from SIDIS but at much higher $Q^{2}$. The Collins results enable tests of universality and factorization-breaking in the transverse momentum-dependent formulation of perturbative quantum chromodynamics.

A reliable determination of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cb}|$ is mandatory for precision flavor physics and for the search for CP violating phases from new, heavy particles. In this article, we review the theory of the determina tion of $|V_{cb}|$ from inclusive semileptonic $B$ decays. We discuss the available measurements of the semileptonic $B$ branching fraction and other inclusive observables in B decays relevant to the determination of $|V_{cb}|$. Finally, we perform a global fit to extract $|V_{cb}|$ and the $b$-quark mass $m_b$.

New results on inclusive production of Sigma^- and Lambda(1520) and on proton production in quark and gluon jets are presented. These results are based on 2 million hadronic Z decays collected with the DELPHI detector at LEP. They are compared with t he results of other LEP experiments and with models. It has been shown that the total production rates of all light-flavour hadrons measured so far at LEP 1 follow phenomenological laws related to the spin, isospin, strangeness and mass of the particles. A significant proton enhancement in gluon jets is observed, indicating that baryon production proceeds directly from colour objects.
The branching fractions of the $Upsilon(1S)$ inclusive decays into final states with a $J/psi$ or a $psi(2S)$ are measured with improved precision to be $BR(Upsilon(1S)to J/psi + {rm anything})=(5.25pm 0.13(mathrm{stat.})pm 0.25(mathrm{syst.}))times 10^{-4}$ and $BR(Upsilon(1S)to psi(2S) + {rm anything})=(1.23pm 0.17(mathrm{stat.})pm 0.11(mathrm{syst.}))times 10^{-4}$. The first search for $Upsilon(1S)$ decays into $XYZ$ states that decay into a $J/psi$ or a $psi(2S)$ plus one or two charged tracks yields no significant signals for $XYZ$ states in any of the examined decay modes, and upper limits on their production rates in $Upsilon(1S)$ inclusive decays are determined.
The production of $J/psi$ mesons in jets is studied in the forward region of proton-proton collisions using data collected with the LHCb detector at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The fraction of the jet transverse momentum carried by the $J/psi$ meson, $z equiv p_{rm T}(J/psi)/p_{rm T}({rm jet})$, is measured using jets with $p_{rm T}({rm jet}) > 20$ GeV in the pseudorapidity range $2.5 < eta({rm jet}) < 4.0$. The observed $z$ distribution for $J/psi$ mesons produced in $b$-hadron decays is consistent with expectations. However, the results for prompt $J/psi$ production do not agree with predictions based on fixed-order non-relativistic QCD. This is the first measurement of the $p_{rm T}$ fraction carried by prompt $J/psi$ mesons in jets at any experiment.
