The decay $B_c^+to J/psi K^+$ is observed for the first time using a data sample, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 ${,fb}^{-1}$, collected by the LHCb experiment in $pp$ collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of $7mathrm{,Tekern -0.1em V}$. A yield of $46pm12$ events is reported, with a significance of 5.0 standard deviations. The ratio of the branching fraction of $B_c^+to J/psi K^+$ to that of $B_c^+to J/psipi^+$ is measured to be $0.069pm0.019pm0.005$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic.

A search for the decays $B_c^+ to J/psi D^{(*)0} K^+$ and $B_c^+ to J/psi D^{(*)+} K^{*0}$ is performed with data collected at the LHCb experiment corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb$^{-1}$. The decays $B_c^+ to J/psi D^0 K^+$ and $B_c^ + to J/psi D^{*0} K^+$ are observed for the first time, while first evidence is reported for the $B_c^+ to J/psi D^{*+} K^{*0}$ and $B_c^+ to J/psi D^+ K^{*0}$ decays. The branching fractions of these decays are determined relative to the $B_c^+ to J/psi pi^+$ decay. The $B_c^+$ mass is measured, using the $J/psi D^0 K^+$ final state, to be $6274.28 pm 1.40 (stat) pm 0.32 (syst)$ MeV/$c^2$. This is the most precise single measurement of the $B_c^+$ mass to date.
The ratio of branching fractions $R_{K/pi} equiv mathcal{B}(B_{c}^{+} to J/psi K^{+})/mathcal{B}(B_{c}^{+} to J/psipi^{+})$ is measured with $pp$ collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7 TeV and 8 TeV, correspon ding to an integrated luminosity of 3${mbox{fb}^{-1}}$. It is found to be $ R_{K/pi} = 0.079pm0.007pm0.003$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. This measurement is consistent with the previous LHCb result, while the uncertainties are significantly reduced.
The decay $B_crightarrow J/psi K^+ K^- pi^+$ is observed for the first time, using proton-proton collisions collected with the LHCb detector corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3fb$^{-1}$. A signal yield of $78pm14$ decays is reported with a significance of 6.2 standard deviations. The ratio of the branching fraction of $B_c rightarrow J/psi K^+ K^- pi^+$ decays to that of $B_c rightarrow J/psi pi^+$ decays is measured to be $0.53pm 0.10pm0.05$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic.
The decay Bc+ --> J/psi pi+pi-pi+ is observed for the first time, using 0.8 fb-1 of pp collisions at sqrt{s}=7 TeV collected by the LHCb experiment. The ratio of branching fractions BR(Bc+ --> J/psi pi+pi-pi+)/BR(B_c+ --> J/psi pi+) is measured to be 2.41+-0.30+-0.33, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The result is in agreement with theoretical predictions.
The first observation of exotic states with a new quark content $c bar{c} u bar{s}$ decaying to the $J/psi K^+$ final state is reported with high significance from an amplitude analysis of the $B^+ to J/psi phi K^+$ decay. The analysis is carried out using proton-proton collision data corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb$^{-1}$ collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV. The most significant state, $Z_{cs}(4000)^+$, has a mass of $4003pm6,^{+,phantom{0}4}_{-,14}$ MeV, a width of $131pm15pm26$ MeV, and spin-parity $J^P=1^+$, where the quoted uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. A new $1^+$ $X(4685)$ state decaying to the $J/psi phi$ final state is also observed with high significance. In addition, the four previously reported $J/psi phi$ states are confirmed and two more exotic states, $Z_{cs}(4220)^+$ and $X(4630)$, are observed with significance exceeding five standard deviations.
