We report on our progress in computing the excitation spectrum in Lattice QCD. We focus on the isospin 0, 1 and 2 channels using the stochastic LapH algorithm for the quark propagators. For the isospin-0 channel, a new glueball operator constructed from the stochastic LapH operator is included in the variational basis along with the isoscalar meson and pi-pi operators. A representative signal for each channel is presented and the feasibility of extending the calculations to larger lattices is discussed.

Hadron spectroscopy on dynamical configurations are faced with the difficulties of dealing with the mixing of single particle states and multi-hadron states (for large spatial volumes and light dynamical quarks masses). It is conceivable that explici t multi-hadron interpolating operators will be necessary for obtaining sufficiently good overlap onto multi-hadron states in order to extract the low-lying excitation spectrum. We explore here the feasibility of using four noise diluted all-to-all quark propagators in the construction of explicit two-hadron operators on quenched, anisotropic lattices. Our longer term goal is to use these operators on large anisotropic, dynamical configurations for hadron spectroscopy.
A method used recently to obtain a formalism for classical fields with non-local actions preserving chiral symmetry and uniqueness of fermion fields yields a discrete version of Huygens principle with free discrete propagators that recover their continuum forms in certain limit.
The transverse and longitudinal gluon propagators in the Landau gauge are studied in the two-color lattice QCD at nonzero quark chemical potential $mu_q$. Parameterization of the momentum dependence of the propagators is provided for all values of ch emical potential under study. We find that the longitudinal propagator is infrared suppressed at nonzero $mu_q$ with suppression increasing with increasing $mu_q$. The transverse propagator dependence on $mu_q$ was found to be opposite: it is enhanced at large $mu_q$. It is found, respectively, that the electric screening mass is increasing while the magnetic screening mass is decreasing with increasing $mu_q$. Nice agreement between the electric screening mass computed from the longitudinal propagator and the Debye mass computed earlier from the singlet static quark-antiquark potential was found. We discuss how the dependence of the propagators on the chemical potential correlates with the respective dependence of the string tension. Additionally, we consider the difference between two propagators as a function of the momentum and make interesting observations.

Lattice QCD has matured to a degree where it is now possible to study excited hadrons as they truly appear in nature, as short-lived resonant enhancements decaying into multiple possible final states. Through variational analysis of matrices of corre lation functions computed with large bases of interpolating fields it has proven possible to extract many excited state energy levels, and these can be used to constrain the hadron-hadron scattering amplitudes in which hadron resonances can be observed. Recent progress is illustrated with several examples including coupled-channel scattering in the $pi eta, Koverline{K}$ and $pipi, Koverline{K}, etaeta$ systems in which the $a_0, f_0$ scalar mesons appear.
Determining the spectrum of hadronic excitations from Monte Carlo simulations requires the use of interpolating operators that couple to multi-particle states. Recent algorithmic advances have made the inclusion of multi-hadron operators in spectrosc opy calculations a practical reality. In this talk, a procedure for constructing a set of multi-hadron interpolators that project onto the states of interest is described. To aid in the interpretation of simulation data, operators are designed to transform irreducibly under the lattice symmetry group. The identification of a set of optimal single-hadron interpolators for states with non-zero momenta is an essential intermediate step in this analysis.
