This article summarizes the first measurements of inclusive beauty production cross section in proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s)=7 TeV and central rapidities. The results are based on different techniques, such as the identification of semileptonic b-decays into muons and inclusive jet measurements with secondary vertex tagging. The measurements probe b-quark production in different regions of transverse momenta. The experimental results are compared with next-to-leading order QCD predictions and various Monte Carlo models.
TOTEM has measured the differential cross-section for elastic proton-proton scattering at the LHC energy of {srud}s = 7TeV analysing data from a short run with dedicated large {beta} * optics. A single exponential fit with a slope B = (20:1{pm}0:2sta
Experimental results on top-quark physics obtained at the CMS experiment are reported based on the data recorded at centre-of-mass energy up to 13 TeV. Inclusive and differential cross sections for both top-quark pair and single top-quark production
In this paper we present a precise measurement of the total ZZ production cross section in pp collisions at {surd}s= 1.96 TeV, using data collected with the CDF II detector corresponding to an integrated luminosity of approximately 6 fb-1. The result
Proton-proton elastic scattering has been measured by the TOTEM experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider at {surd}s = 7 TeV in dedicated runs with the Roman Pot detectors placed as close as seven times the transverse beam size (sbeam) from the ou
Hadrons measured in proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 0.9 and 7 TeV with the ALICE detector have been identified using various techniques: the specific energy loss and the time-of flight information for charged pions, kaons and protons, the displ
